Cheating using MSN or any IM

Over the week end I made a complant in Titan about 2 players using IM for colluding.

I got an email back to-day saying they (Titan Poker) where looking into it. I keep you all informed as one of the players is in this FORUM!

I played a few months ago on Titan & suspected 2 players of colluding. They were talking wat I believe to be spanish & it was suspious on the timings of chat with the folds they were making. And chips seemed to be passed between them on some very odd hands. I took a different approach I didn't report them for not speaking english in the chat but isolated the weak player & knocked him out leaving me to deal with the other with no more suspected colluding.

This problem is on all poker sites and has been going on for years-Nothing has or will be done about it why who knows.

from what i understand,i come across this 4 years ago and because its not apart of the poker sites software,they cant do anything about it so the only way to counteract that kind of cheating is to contact support and maybe copy paste hand history or something as for players speaking something other than english,you can ask them to speak english if they carry on go to support,maybe they'll get a chat ban or worse,i know with live support it helps alot

yea I don't know what you can do about the chatting. If you told them to speak english and not their language that would be kind of racist towards others as they are only speaking their native tongue. Why don't well all just speak one language and whoever doesn't speak it is a terrorist haha jk

i don't know how many sites do it but i know most microgaming skins are english only at the table....and i have seen many times peoples chat get disabled for non english at the tables

One time I was warned by Full Tilt for supposedly discussing my hand in Spanish while at the tables. I went ahead and asked for the transcripts because I really had no idea of what they were talking about as I fully believe in honor and fairness at the table. Well, the thing was that the guy or girl I was chatting with made a comment about how ugly the flops were and how there was no help on the board. Nothing to do with my cards or theirs. Not one to go down without a fight, I send them a long ugly E-mail telling them to either get better translators or to go ahead and hire me as thier translator. No response till now, pompous of them if you ask me... Still, they had a valid point like Worm in "Rounders" -English only at the table... and I can understand that. Spanish being my primary language, (I didn't speak English until the 4th Grade) is a huge part of me. SO, I think most of us don't mean it in a disrespectful way, rather, we do it out of habit. I know I do. If any of you see me doing it at the tables, I apologize before the fact. Just don't be one of these rude A$$es that get brave and practically screams it at me just because you're online and nowhere near, because like I tell them all, if we were sitting across from each other at any place with only felt between us, you would think twice before talking to me in that manner. Just do it like "Willie Beaman", When at the tables, play for the love of the game and show respect for your opponents,

Nice post Tigre. If chat other than English is going on without consent of other table members, simply ask them to discontinue the conversation. If they refuse, then I would report them to support, unless they make it known somehow that english is not their 1st language or they are weak speaking it.

if its a pledge on titan the IM collusion i know a lot of people making that on net, i think that u gain perhaps a micro money, but u doesnt improve ur game making that.

I have been curious when i have seen that happeneing. I have googled language transltors to try to figure out what they were saying. The couple times i did this, the conversations didn't relate to the game at hand. I think IM's are a more prevelant source of cheating. I get worried when i see two people from the same hometown, so I usually make a joke asking if they are brothers or something just to point out to the table and have everyone take notice.
