Is any one in the forum playing Carbon Poker, Diamonds are for Ever Tournaments?
I am thinking about it, I was wondering if it would be fun for the forum members to compare results, tactics, generally talk about moans groans etc etc.
Anyway get back to me in this thread if any one is interested.
Right here in your player admin you can check out the diamonds which will track your Comp Point progress throughout our Diamonds are forever promotion and award you free cash as you play. How it works: The first level requires you to play a special Diamonds Are Forever SnG, the two of diamonds will light up and your account will be credited with a 200% reload bonus. The first several levels are rather easy to reach, however as you progress the level of comp points required goes up, though so do the prizes. With up to $1500 cash when you light up the Ace of Diamonds. See the tasks table below for full details.
All of the comp points you earn will still be able to be used in our comp points store and help you gain eligibility to freeroll tournaments. That means that each comp point you earn has three uses. It helps you light up the diamonds for free cash, entry into the free rolls, and can be spent in the comp points store!
As a member of CarbonPoker, herein "the Promotion", you are bound by the following Terms and Conditions:
The "Diamonds Are Forever" promo will run from July 1-31 2008 (inclusive). At midnight (server time) on July 31 2008 the checklist will cease recording completed tasks and any outstanding prizes will be tallied. Please allow up to 72 hours for your finalized task list in the Player Admin.
All players must adhere to standard rules and practices of an individual poker game. This includes but is not limited to colluding with other players to gain an advantage otherwise unattainable by single players, and completing tasks with the assistance of others including Comp Point earnings. Any player found to be abusing such practices will be ineligible for promotional prizes and may have their account closed.
In order to be eligible to receive your obtained prizes, a player must have made a minimum of 1 deposit from the time they joined until July 31, 2008.
All cash prizes will be paid via Freeroll Winnings coupons, which restricts the bonus cash from being withdrawn for 1 week. Bonus cash can be played at the tables immediately.
Please allow up to 90 minutes for certain tasks to be checked off your list.
Players can win all 13 prizes, but must complete all 13 of the task requirements. Each prize will be paid as the previous tasks are complete - example: If Task 1 and 3 have been completed, then only the prize for Task 1 will be paid. Once Task 2 has been completed, then you will be paid for Task 2 and 3.
Prizes are cumulative - example: completing Cards 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 will result in a total of $85, a reload bonus and $5 blackjack cash coupon being added to your account.
Card 3d: Player must wage a minimum of $25 on blackjack.
Card 2d: requires you to play a special 'Diamonds Are Forever' 10 seated Sit'n'Go.
Any comp points earned from side games between July 1 and 31 (00:00 Server Time) will not count towards tasks and comp point requirements.
All players must meet CarbonPoker's Terms & Conditions, and CarbonPoker reserves the right to modify these rules at any time, and for any reason, at its sole discretion.
A Breach of the Terms will result in instant removal from the Program.

But there are few things to compare.
I'm trying to reach the card 6. I already have 2 and 3.
I'm pretty sure that I will get 5, and if I can get 6 I will try to play the 2 tourneys requiered to get 7. In my level of play, I think I won't get the 8

I only played a $5 sitngo the other day because it was the only 1 that was almost full already. (Merge sitngos have been DEAD lately) -- Anyways, I did not like it because they don't tell you that the blind structure is different:
lvl 1- 5/10
lvl 2- 25/50
lvl 3- 50/100
lvl 4- 75/150
I don't like turbo type of tourneys, I like to take my time, lol.. I guess it's a good promo for people that play a lot of cash tables to get all those points, but not for me - I only play like 1 or 2 sitngos a day.
Good luck you all!
Where do I find out how many tasks I have completed?

Using the Carbon client software, click on the link "Player Admin" (in the bottom).
When this URL is loaded, in the left menu you have a link "Diamonds are forever" (https://secure.carbonpoker.com/diamondsareforever.html) and you can find there the comp. points you already have for the promotion.
I have 2446 comp. points.
i want to play so bad. i have only been able to play 1 of their contests (march madness) because under terms and conditions i do not qualify. i am not a depositor.
boohoo
anyways...here is the best way to clean up on some points.
you be the 1 to start the table...after 4 players join your table and are playing your comp points will double.
i played razz all day yesterday. $1-$2 limit table pulled in 10 pts per hand. hands play much faster then holdem, omaha or stud. i had 10k comp points just from playing a few hours on sat and sun.
if you don't play razz try this..
start a few tables or join a low number table(because when the starter of the table leaves , next person in order gets the doubled points.) so multi table. much easier to multi table at the limit stakes. any mistakes made from not paying attention are not so costly as no limit. limit tables during these contests are mostly filled with others trying to obtain comp points too. the pots aren't huge on the wins but losses are small and the comp points are many. good luck you guys.

cheers Tking
thank you for your relevant tips. the same thought crossed my mind today.
ive started my own thread about keeping my daily result at the 1k freeroll (luzipher's opened one for his own and we would apreciate if msdonk also could join us ) but the swing is just too big at no limit imo whether you are a depositor or not, and i've noticed that its about the same points for yellowstone and colloseum right?
cash games are different than tournament.... not only because in a tourney you cant lose more than the buy-in but also that tournament are running and ending while cash games have no time limit and therefore i think there is a problem there, for players who doesn play Lag style and get ready for the upswings and downswings in their bankroll.
theres nothing easier than blowing it recklessly away at the no limit tables, while trying to just picking up those points for the freeroll.
so thank you again for beeing in the right time in the right place. see you at colloseum
