Sure... run their player name thru a playing style stats search site,... if it comes up that they 'generally' play pass. post-flop, start watching for a ton of slowplays. Also, the more a person slowplays the less often they will bluff or semibluff (or at least they will get looked up when they do and won't get paid off on the slowplays).
I think that slowplaying is a tactic that is WAYYYY overused by rookies (they think they're being tricky but it's an amateurish play when over-used). If you're playing TAG style and betting out on a large percentage of your hands when seeing a flop, not only do you give yourself greater bluffing and semi-bluffing oppurtunities but also you're really strong hands are going to get paid off too.
If you see the player has shown themselves to prefer to slowplay big hands, then take advantage of this after the fact (look em up when they bet the flop (or raise)) and always check behind them on other flops if they've checked and you're still hoping to improve on the turn or river and need some help catching up. DON'T semibluff a fl dr. with them when they've checked ahead of you,... take the free card and when you've hit, make them sorry for ever trying to slowplay you in the first place.
