How I did last weekend.

I took 7th in a 4king poker event...bubble +1

1st in 10cent 360 player SNG $8.50
7th, 8th, 10th, 16th in 4 other .10 tourneys.

3rd in a Private Carbon Tourney $3.60

Top 100 in the ferguson satellite....twice... $2

Not too bad, but I hoping for better on this next weekend.

Can someone help me out on some tech for the Bodog $500 free...I want to get some cash rolling on that site, but I refuse to deposit there.

Staying safe has paid off, I have now 4 real money accounts.

I placed 3rd and 8th recently in the Bodog $500 guaranteed freeroll/rebuys.
3rd paid $45 and 8th paid $10.
These tourneys are a minimum of 4 to 5 hours.
I have built a bankroll on Bodog from playing these.

I dont know how you guys do it. I lose interest in those freerolls after the 3-4th hours. I just cant stay focused......congrats on the wins and keep it up!

The Bodog freerolls usually have from 2000 - 4000+ players, not the mention the lot of 'em who sit out.

You could say that it is a game of patience as much as it is of skill (and luck!)

The problem with freerolls is there is too much luck involved.

LIke the 3rd hand teh other night I get AK UTG and make a standard raise. Another guy reraises and a moron pushes allin. I give it some thought and finally call and so does the other guy. Its AK vs. AQ vs. J3. flop comes 883 and after two more bricks its over.

At least it happened early and not after sitting there for 2 hours.

Also, Bodog's freerolls are rebuys, so you get donekys like that.

I have cashed at Bodog a few times though. Never won it.

But what you have to understand that there is also the factor of infinite buy-ins.

Plus when I play the 360 sit-n-gos. It seems quick. I also like them because they keep you from spending your bankroll.

Yeah you get sucked out on, but the key is to let everyone else get sucked out on..and play very far and few hands once your 4x / 10x / 18x the original stack. Understand where a tournament suck out points are, and all the idiots who are playing them bubble with a3 in first to act.

Plus most of the time Im multi-screening, sooooo I'm never bored. Downtime is time for me to check my schedule, post, get into more tourneys, set alarms for special tourneys, listen to some music, get a drink, have a cig....thats the beauty of online poker as long as you can see the screen you're ok.

I love not playing for 30mins when blind rounds are low if I'm 2x or 4x average. Just to make it cash or lessen the odds of being beat.

I don't have enough time, and I'm consistently thinking about ways to spend my downtime to better my game. A buddy of mine was working on notes, and lists during downtime.

Do you have any notes on the bodog like pe rsay where you should be at each hour, or where the average is at.....periodically.

I would love to start working on nice mathematical understandings on it, if you have anything it would help. I will also share info, reflection, whatnot.

I never seem to get too far...bad beats, and an occasional stupid play....why am I playing (1000 of these people aren't even sitting at their screens...and never played and got further.)

I want to get to about 5k-7.5k sit till blinds run higher...unless I get AA, AK, KK, QQ.....a lot. Then I make my plays....

That I think would get my through the first stage of the tourney...all the sitting out players....

I would need to get to about 20k-40k going into the money...

And I would think I would need to get to 100k for a good shot at top 3.....

Can you help me out with my projections...i really haven't made it far enough to be accurate.....

Great job! Bodog is my home site, so I know a bit about it. Player super tight ABC poker for the first couple house then open up a bit and you will hit a nice score in those free rolls in no time. Just remember, you can't bluff a Bodog player, they will call with bottom pair. Let us know how it goes.

Yeah, so it seems.....I took 232 last night...knocked out with KK on the button. top 63 paid!
Field of Pay x 4 which is fairly close.....

I made textbook calls and raises...folded through the moon.. just didnt get lucky...I was in 150th or so when I as knocked out...would have been a triple.....and I would have been sitting nice. Aq hit A on turn. Equal Stacks. no chip leader luck..late game pos...just a unlucky hand...

I just signed up for the one at 12:40 registration....but I have bowling at 6:00...but since they give you pts for being in it...I always at least sign up ....im at 22pts 8 more and I cant get into a point freeroll!
