    Default Pokerhost and Sbgglobal

I just spotted the link to the Pokerhost site but don't see any mention of Sbgglobal sportsbook.

I was recently looking into Sbgglobal for betting on baseball and at that site they stated they supported Pokerhost as well. However when I had inquiries prior to signing up (both via the toll-free number and live chat - they didn't have a FAQ section) they wouldn't give me any answers unless I set up an account first - why would I bother to set up an account if my questions weren't answered???

Has anyone else had similar problems, either with Pokerhost or Sbgglobal?

A mistake made in the past is not as important as the lesson learned from it.

Default most recommend choice on merge is still carbon

    hi

I still feel the most recommend choice on merge is still carbon

however I know alot of other forums are now promoting PokerHost but I think alot of that will be to maximise new signups from members already playing on Carbon

given the current climate I would stick with Carbon for a merge site

    cheers SB

I think the issue is getting money on Carbon (for some reason) requires harder methods as opposed to Poker Host that let my card go right through. BUt I would not put much on there at once. SOme other forum has some games so I put money on as a joke and it went through to my surprise. Only think is I didnt buy poker chips (if ya know what what Im saying) so Im expecting poker host to run into problems like PT and FT

THEN HERE IS MY QUESTION - IF one mERGE skin starts playing wacking numbers for deposits, would one merge skin be able to get the whole merge (carbon) network in trouble)

MAN ITS SUCH A CATCH 22 Im rolled where I can play but I dont know ill ever be able to get money on sites again (they all use different wallets, they all have different options that wont work or just be a big headache) SO Im rolled now and If continue my amazing winning streak LOL ILL be good but if that V word (variance) starts to take over then I dont know.

THIS SUCKS ON SO MANY LEVELS, I head on one podcast yesterday, that the US version for online poker would have it start in hots spots and bars not in your home cause govt dont want to hear stories of granny losing her life savings at home, then after it takes off in the bars or hotsspots??? (goto the park and collude with your friends in the park LOL) YOu know it might be 15 years before actual money online poker will be a choice in America.

Default which is why Im not pushing any of them

    hi Dan

yep you concerns are common ones - and also exactly why I dont feel happy pushing any of the US facing sites

Its difficult to assess if one merge skin is any more at risk than another - to be honest while some I think have separate cashiers that also implies they have separate cash reserves - or not

I swing back and forward between Bodog and Carbon as the best choice under the circumstances

I appreciate deposits are an issue - but I am thinking more about who would best cope with DoJ problems and who is most likely to honour balances

IMHO Bodog has the more diverse player base

and of the merge sites Carbon has probably the more mixed player base and the forsight to close on a tempory basis to new US players

Its too hard to second guess and I am not interested in trying to make a quick buck rushing to recommend "US facing sites" under the new post April 15th regime

especially on the basis that x is easier to deposit at than y ... they will all have to be bending the rules to some degree or another

we might not agree with the DoJ on what the rules actually are - but unfortunately their interpretation of the law is what becomes the law rightly or wrongly

    cheers SB
