Power poker if you have never heard of it is how i play poker. Tight and aggressive (tag). But it seems to me that on p-stars and full tilt this method of poker gets me done in (although i have won a couple of tourneys). I think i know why!
I play in tourneys up tp $11 buy in and i think there lies my problem. The higher the buy in the better the standard of player in general who are less likely to call with a drawing hand with just the river to go. they will rely on their skill to out play you on the flop.
In the small buy in tourneys even when you get to the bubble where i am aggressive people still call putting thier tourney lives on the line with rags.
Power poker does work if you follow it. One of the greastest players from Ireland uses this method Padraig Parkinson. The key is to make sure you note other players actions it really does help when you get down to the nitty gritty.
