    Default 2 table - 18 man turbo

Decided to try 18 man - 2 table turbo on PS tonight. Wish me luck!

    -----

    Limp with 68

    FLOP goes 687

Bet 300 at pot of 300 and get 2 callers.

    TURN Q

Guy bets 50 at pot of 900 -- I push -- Fold -- Call and flips up 44

    RIVER T

Move to third in chips with 15 left.

    -----

Dealt QQ in SB. Folds around to me, Raise to 600 and get called by BB.

    FLOP: 4AA

Ughhh..... I check. BB bets 300 at 1200 pot. Re-raise to 900. He folds.

Up to 4120 in chips and 2nd with 14 left.

    -----

    Final Table:

    Leader has 6240 chips.

    I have 4420 chips.

    Third has 3900 chips.

    3175
    3000
    2680
    2140
    935
    510.

    -----

    Blinds at 100/200.

Some guy raises to 600. BB pushes all in for 2950 and gets called by first raiser who has Q 10 unsuited and this call put him all in.

Why would he call with Q 10?

Why would BB push with 2 3 unsuited?

Sometimes I am amazed at plays people make.

    -----

50 hands in. 9 players left.

    6300
    5565
    3945 -- ME
    3760

Won money when showdown -- 100%

ACK Card Dead for next two orbits down to 3020 with blinds at 300/600 and in 6th place out of 7 now.

And action next hand (I am not in it) and back to 4th out of 7.

    Next hand eliminates another player.

Next hand -- still card dead -- 7 2 off. And now 5 out of 6.

    9765
    5130
    5060
    2725
    2270
wow out before I got it typed in.

    5 left -- 4 cash -- me card dead -- Blinds at 400/800.

    9715
    7380
    5010
    2675
    2220 -- me

    4 left -- I cashed.

    14090
    5680
    4110
    3120 -- me

    -----

My first play that put me in REAL bad.

4 left - In the money. Blinds at 400/800 and 50 ante.

    SB -- ME -- 2220 chips 76
    BB -- 5010 chips
    P3 -- 4380 chips
    Dealer -- 15590 chips

Pot has 1400 in it. P3 folds. Dealer folds. I decided to push figuring I am 40/60 dog if called. I get called and BB has 6Q so I am dominated.

8K487 -- river of dreams. Now at 4440 chips.

    ---

Made it to heads-up but severely short. I have 2875 to 24200 and blinds at 800/1600 so playing any two.

    86 versus AK

Well at least I am 40ish%. game over and finished Second.

    Overall not a bad tournament.

Comments and suggestions as always are VERY welcomed!

Talking to yourself is not really a good sign!
"Good players very rarely call. Good players raise or fold. Good players who call a bet after the flop are very, very often slowplaying a monster hand.” Phil Gordon’s Little Green Book

LOL. I had decided to do this for one tournament to 1) see if I saw anything, 2) see if others saw anything.

This particular tournament went reasonably well (although I did have one major draw "suck" out).

However, I am always willing to learn. Most of the other action during the tournament was pretty standard with pre-flop raises in position and blind steals or big hands on hit flops, etc.

Funny how an 18-man turbo comes down to so few hands really. For me in this one, it was maybe 4 or 5.

Turbos do tend to make people push the action faster. Not really sure what that raise and ai was with the cards those guys held.

If you are fortunate to accumulate a few chips early in these, you can weather the quickly increasing blinds. If not it may call for pushing with less than desirable hands in the middle to late stages.

    Just my two cents worth.
    Really?
