All looked good to me, except that last hand.

77 in the SB, out of position and against the Big Stack. as you were just against 1 opponent, you could figure having a 66% chance with the 77(against any 2 other cards). But he is the Bigstack, and could well put you all in. you figured him for a c-bet continuation, but had to figure that he would call your all-in. Also you figured he had overs, well then 77 is basically a coinflip against AK, AQ, KQ, J10 in the 55% to 45% range, hell, J10 is 52% to 48%.

You had just paid the blinds, tho getting shortstacked, I woulda seen another round of hands. buts that me as I think more of position and not that much of pairs below 10 10. So I mighta pushed like u did if I had 1010 and , lol, lost also. But I really think that seeing a small pair in the SB and the bigstack on the table is betting out, woulda had me fold there, especially if I put him on 2 overs. Now if he plays A rag a lot, the odds are much better to call.

So question (would you expect any less from Ihavequestions?)...

Would you have made the first call? I called 300 at a pot of 700. Figuring I was ahead and about a 55 to 45 favorite (giving him A K, A Q, A J, K Q, or something like that). If I fold here I am still at 2075 in chips. This seemed like the right odds, and also knowing if I flop I set I most likely will double through.

After the flop, I checked to see what he would do. He bet 600 at 1000 pot making the pot 1600. I had to call 600 for a chance to win 1600. And had no new information to think I was behind (unless he had A 8 - which I considered briefly or an overpair - which I should have considered more). Since he made a 60% pot size raise, that would fit with the two overs. I now could either fold, call 600 and have 1175 chips left with 2200 in the pot and see another card hoping to spike the 7, or push all-in hoping my read was correct. If I push and he calls and has two overs, I am now a 3 to 1 favorite to double through.

So yes, I sort of expected the call and thought I would be a 3 to 1 favorite. Obviously, I was incorrect since he had JJ.

With the read being wrong, I understand the play was wrong. But, if the read had been right, do you still think the play was bad?

    Thanks again!
