Default Card Dead to extreme - still managed to cash

Never got any traction in this one. Oh well.

You finished in 93rd place out of 945 (eliminated at hand #31335458275).

91 hands played and saw flop:
    - 2 times out of 10 while in small blind (20%)
    - 8 times out of 11 while in big blind (73%)
    - 4 times out of 70 in other positions (6%)
    - a total of 14 times out of 91 (15%)

Pots won at showdown - 3 out of 7 (43%)
Pots won without showdown - 3

well, I am info deficent on this, but I am gonna go out on a limb here, and say, where is your blind stealing in this game? "4 times out of 70 in other positions (6%)" tells me you don't blind steal at all, really.

Now, blind stealing depends on a good read on the 3 to your left. But unless all 4 of the times u actually got in a hand were blind steal attempts, I 'm thinking you are passing up this valuable poker tool.

Blind stealing is a huge EV+ play if the 3 to your left are any sort of passive.

Very curious on blind steals? Is it truly a fire once pre-flop? If you fire and get caller and miss flop do you mkae continuation bet or check? Also, what type of hand is needed to try a blind steal? Do you need something or any two cards?

I am not opposed to mixing it up some, but when the cards go ugly, I prefer to conserve chips for hands that have good EV.

A good number of the tournaments on carbon start with 1000 chips with plenty of people to push all-in with any A, any two face, etc. I have found that to cash in tournaments the best thing is to avoid the land mines and play solid starting hands.

In live games, the blind steal is much easier for me.

Any and all advice welcome. And thanks for responding.
