OFC Challenge

Has anyone got plans on representing 4kingpoker at the upcoming OFC challenge on Feb 6-7 at Fulltilt. Since I have never participated, I am interested in joining and the numbers registered.

I've pre registered for these and have played otheres in the past. Not done bad in them but not reach the money yet.

I know there are a few others that play as well.

I don't play those OFC games anymore, as it usually last real long but i'm sure you will appreciate these tourneys where you can find a great mix of good and idiot players.

I wish you GL for your games, cause it's true that the prizes are usually really interesting, mostly with Tilt. But in truth, you should give the buy-in game a try, as this is where you can find best play and best prizes.

A friend of mine won the Aruba package few month ago, and decided to play it conservatively, but unfortunately he ended real soon losing with bullets in his hands. So, if you ever catch some package, don't forget to ask for real money instead.

He sure did. I still don't know if now that he has had time to cool off and think about it if he would take the money or the trip. It was after all a free trip to aruba for him and his wife. Sucked that his rockets got cracked by that 57off I think but still once in a lifetime experience for most of us. Rll your still the man for taking that down. The OFC events are always a good place to test your game. Still have a ton of donktards in them but a good share of very good players especially in the buy-in with some nice added tickets or trips and always added money. I barley missed the final table in the last one I played and it made me sick that I let my girlfriend at the time nag me enough to donk out but it was my own fault. Another buddy ended up winning that one, got $2k I think plus a tic to a huge payout game. I don't get to play much on the weekends anymore but when I do I always try to catch the OFC games if there is a USA site hosting that weekend and I always preregister for it just in case I can play.

outside of the badbeat rll took i'm pretty sure he had a great time in aruba with wifey a.k.a. olly. if i was to have won the package i would have taken the trip also, life is about having fun. i couldn't imagine selling it and wondering what may have been. in disturbed's 3 seasons we have had 2 members win ofc buy ins, would love to see another one of us take down the tilt buy in coming up. the freerolls are usually a little too much for me to take but i rarely miss the buyins, always great added prize money.

I know i won't win one (), but if it ever happen, i would probably sell the ticket and turn it into good $$. Why? I think i should enter smaller (BI) tournaments before playing a huge one, to learn handling live pressure. Another way to use the money would be to enter multiple tournaments during WSOP, all depending on the amount of the package of course.

If I won a package to any where I'd not get the chance to convert it to $$ the other half would have her bags packed ready for a holiday before you could say the destination.

Mind you I'd not have a problem playing poker when I wanted after that.
