During yesterdays league game at Full Tilt i was actually doing pretty good imho, but then something came up that needed my imediate attention so i didn't want to get accused of chip dumping, as 1 of my friends had that happen recently, and i didn't want to just be a sit out as i don't like to face sitters myself. So i figuered i would just go all in the very next hand and try not to make it look obvious ( if i would of lucked out and won i would then have sat out even though i hate that, and hoped to return to keep playing ) but i lost as expected but i didn't want those that have tried to help me out with their good advice think i just was playing like an idiot, i ended up in 15th so not so bad, at least i scored some points right??

i think i would prefer someone to sit out rather than to go all in. things do come up i understand that. perhaps you would of even placed better than 15th.

yeah, I busted earlier, but I feel u shouda just sat out. Its not like a 300 player game where half are sitting.

I think you will find we are much more understanding here. You should have just said you had to go and would try to get back and sat out.

I've previously regestered remotly to a game knowning I may not make the start but still wanted to play when I got in and most UK players have fallen a sleep prior to a cake or bodog game and missed some of the game I know I have.

Yes money is involved and there is the competion of the leagues but I believe forum games are more than that and should be enjoyed and you shouldn't worry to much if life interupts them.

I agree with all advices here. We all have our own occupations so that nobody would complain about sitters, usually. Plus, it has nothing unfair in my mind, to sit out as you can do it on all games OL or live.
I can swear some of us already reg for games when they were not able to play, even if those were buy-ins. I know some that almost reach ITM while not showing at all. I'll give no name here as they prefer to keep id secret, but let's say that some turkey are really hard to kill...

I cannot count on all my fingers and toes all the games I lose because I do the old double up attempt before taking off for a chore. I cannot not go all in because I will have lost all my chips by the time I get back. So I resign myself to go all in hoping I win, so I at least have a chance of having over 700 chips still remaining by the time I make it back from whatever demand was made of me.

I did read a forum complain to their entrants not to even think of sitting out, because they can elect to not award the points in their league. I am sure with adults people have to be flexible. Even at the bar games, I sit out a bit to hit the food or men's room.

What I've seen and find funny is everyone folds to a sitter in the BB and they pick up chips. If I'm SB or dealer there's no way I'm not putting in a bet to take the chips.
