A bit off-topic but regarding 'rebuys' - when I bust a player on a table in a rebuy (& know he's a huge fish) I'm sitting there in front of my puter screen praying/chanting... "please rebuy!...Please Rebuy!!.... PLEASE REBUY!!!"... because I want to build up with even more chips from them.
I just started adding a few micro rebuys to my schedule & am shocked to see how some of them will play... and then not even rebuy?!?!?! (ie. last nite I'm in a $3 rebuy, EP player limps, I raise in pos. with AQs 5x.. they call.. I flop TPTK and lead out with a large cbet & they call. Turn brings an 'A' giving me Top2, they check... & I think about what to bet.... I have just a little over a 'pot-sized' bet left in my stack... there are draws present now... I think, "Just shove the turn as it might even look like you're bluffing a scare card (the 'A').. and they call for the rest of their stack (not a small amount... around 2k). THey turn over KTo and have a gutshot????... they wiff the river and I take in a huge pot. I wait for them to rebuy & they don't??? (even though of course I'm praying/begging/chanting... "please rebuy!!!").

    Really? How come exactly?

When I first started playing online MTTs I too would never play any rebuys (the couple I signed up for.. I hated them). This was before I understood what a rebuy was reallyl all about.
Now I will go looking for micro rebuys as there's a TON of value in them. Believe it or not, the good player has a HUGE edge in these tournaments.... much more so than a typical micro freezeout. (I'll explain in more detail if you care to elaborate why you 'ignore' them... if it's for the reasons I'm guessing (one similiar to why I used to ignore them).

    Default late reg.

reg. late is a good stratergy only in small pool of players.also, you have to pick your spot and willing to push early to get a quick jump..bafore you enter the game you have to study the tables to see who love to call toss up hands and these are the players you like to go up against..

i think it all depends on how many people start and if there are rebuys or not. Like you said the guy got lucky.
