    Default Bodog Rebuy $2 + $0.20

I have been playing an occasional rebuy here and there. Usually I play the 25c rebuy in the weee hours on bodog if I do play a rebuy. I played this $2 rebuy that started around 2 or 3am. I used to HATE rebuys. I always used to think it was foolish to rebuy, and it was a waste of money. But, ever since I have re-evaluated my strategy for them, they are kinda fun! I was running with two pairs of scissors for the first hour. I actually find it refreshing to play rebuys, because I usually play so tight and conservative in tourneys. I rebought a few times, and took the add-on. I ended up making 3rd place! I think the prize was $27 or $28. I had a blast, laughed out loud a bunch, and actually profited! I am going to play some more of these. What do you fellow forum members think about rebuys? Peace.

Not playing no $2 rebuy add on's. I might enter and see if I can build a stack and buy the add on but I can see this tourny turning into a $10 venture very quick (DAMNIT ROB WILL YOU QUIT BEING SO CHEAP)

I will generally play re-buy tournaments on smaller sites where I know the frequent players

Yeah I am starting to recognize more and more players on bodog now. It is very small, so I do see alot of the same cats over and over. Peace.

Well Bean, we usually seem to agree but not this time bro. I have always hated re-buys for the simple fact that it's hard enough to sit thru one of these MTT or sit-n-go's but then to give those that either played way to loose or got rivered or whatever, they are gone but they get to try again if they want ??? Sorry, i'll take the 1 and done scenario every time

I've always liked the added money for poor playing approach to re-buys

Players often play weaker starting hands in a re-buy
Trying to double, even triple up early at the start knowing they will re-buy if they bust

Some players have a strategy where they willingly pay 5-10 times for a new stack of chips
Others sit back and wait for the dominating starting hands to bust those above type players

Either strategy is bitter sweet, one your expecting to suck and out draw your opponent while the other your expecting your strong hands to hold up. I am the type who (normally) will sit back and wait for the poor hands to push (hopefully my notes are accurate) and I will call/re-raise the loose player and let them re-buy and add more money to the prize pool.

Yes I play tighter than most in those, but still much looser than normal. One time I flopped a set with a mid pair. There was 2 cards to a str8, and a flush draw. I pushed. Dude calls. He had a gutshot, 4-outer. Hit it on the river. People will literally chase a 2 outer for all their chips. And unfortunately, they get the draws far too often it seems. But, I still find it refreshing to just play looser, and take chances. I am normally very tight, only play about 18-19% of my hands, sometimes less. I won't even call a raise with a small PP in early position, that is how tight I usually play. I just make sure that the rebuy I play, is waaaaaaaay cheap in relation to my BR so I can rebuy and add on if necessary. For example, to play the $2 rebuy, I would plan on spending around up to $12, so I am not playing above my budget for BR. I usually would spend no more than 5% on a tourney. This allows me to play my very best, and not be scared of playing, scared of losing. Anyways, Thanx for your input, Assistanc3... Peace.
