Well that was kinda different. "Pot Limit" took a bit of getting used to for sure. It got me 'thinking' anways.
I was listening to a podcast late last night & the commentators were discussing the adjustments one needs to make for playing PotLimit vs. NoLimit when they were talking about the WSOP schedule & the PLHE $10K event. Doubt their 'pointers' helped much (maybe a little bit),... more likely a bit of 'run good' at the right time helped most, lol.

I was enjoying the game untill my AA got beat by pocket jacks turning to a set on the turn. Not enough fold equity when I pushed. I would have called with JJ myself against me.

When do you shove with AA preflop ? and just pick up blinds. At PS the answer is yes as too many run to the river if they see a flop Iin our games usually you can play a bit smarter. This time just luck of the draw .

When do you shove with AA preflop ? and just pick up blinds. < probably with short'ish' stacks in an attempt to 'look like' a typical shoving range for that stack size. Often you'll see players with (eg) 12-14bb's shoving AT+,55+, but instead they're only raising with monsters, ie. AA/KK. Adding AA/KK to that shove range for deception. At PS the answer is yes as too many run to the river if they see a flop Iin our games usually you can play a bit smarter. This time just luck of the draw .

Exploiting tendancies of other players & if they're 'thinking', we can add things for deception. Too bad about the AA v JJ hand. Was that in this PLHE game? (didn't think it was possibly to open-shove in PLHE?)
