    Default Good question

    Definitely can be done.
Here is a story from the other day.
My dad played in a $50 Freeroll with 2500 entrants at PKR.
came 18th which is a pretty good result.
    Still only received .34 cents.
Took that .34 cents into the Ring Games & made that upto $1.77
    Went & sat in a 10 player Sit'n'Go for $1.10
Came 2nd & received $3 for his efforts.
I don't think he has played since, but that is a good start.
He now has $3.67 waiting for his next game. Very clever. lol.

I built up a roll of $700 at PokerHost from a freeroll... It took 7 months of playing 5 days a week. I played a VERY strict style of bankroll management. When the blinds got to me, if I was up at all, I left the table as long as I had played at least one raked hand. Then you can enter 5 or 6 freerolls because you have 1 raked hand for the day.

takes quite awhile. I built one site up to over a hundred just off of freerolls. other sites it depends on what types of freerolls they have. If you are going to do it the private tournies are the way to go less people more rake

go and read the "Ferguson Bank Roll Management"
its on FullTilt. one of the "tip #" articles.

i was on this plan for a while. i have a small change as
i hardly ever play ring games. i prefer SnG's and tourneys.

i got up to $289+change at my high point.

yes... i ran it down, cuz i deviated from my plan.
the hardest part, is when you get on a roll and you start winning...
but then the bad streak hits.. and you cant outlast the bad streak.

you have to be patient... everytime, you have to think that ...
"this is my last allin, am i willing to do it?"
(even when you still have another buy-in)

this is not to say, you are playing with scared money...
im not... it's to say that, you have to make strong decisions

The point is that you can start a bankroll through freerolls but you will ever need to play in buy-in games later, to make it bigger. Means that when you reached a certain point with free money you have to spend it or win more while playing cash games, SnGs or MTT.
Nobody can earn enough money through freerolls to withdraw. Would take too long.
