POLL - PKR Cards up Tables - Good or Bad ?

ok I just checked out PKR this morning and thought I had a software glitch - but no

PKR Launch - Cards-up tables

PKR will soon be launching special ‘Cards-up’ tables, where your hole cards are always visible (to you alone, of course) presented in an ‘under-table camera’ TV style. Just look for the new eye shaped icon in the lobby to find them. Multi-tablers rejoice!


now I've had a look at a couple of tables and thought they had under table cams for all of them but thankfully not ... is it just me or do you really like that you need to look at your cards to see them ?

or if your multitabling this is a big help for more than one table ?

I don't know if i understood it well.
Is that meaning that you can't play maverick hands anymore?
I hope that we could still have the choice to look at the card when we want to and not like everywhere else, meaning all the time.
But i guess for multitablers, it's gonna be an improvement.
The wrong part of it is that it will hide some tells also.
I will have to check this to see how it runs.

I'll have to check this out. I've got to admit when I first started using PKR I didn't like the fact that your cards were not visible unless you clicked to see them. I thought this was a bit of a pain in the wotsit. But now I've got used to it it seems quite natural - it also fits in with the PKR's attempts to replicate a live poker feel. I'll give the cam option a whirl and report back on this thread....

I think its only on specific tables (look for the icon in the lobby)

I came across it almost by accident as I thought the software was busto and I was just seeing my hole cards all the time - then realised it was like the WPT under table cam not a glitch

then remembered the press release

its only on certain tables - so it fair in that you know your on a pkr "under table cam" table or your on a regular one

personally I wouldnt try to multitable more than 2 tables on PKR anyway so I prefer the hidden hands more like live play tables myself - but I guess its always good to offer choices

will be interesting to see what they are doing for tournaments

I dont know if it possible, but i think u should have the possibillity to decide urself what kind of table u sit on. Soo i voted both.
Myself like TV cam ....
