Default pkr bugs

yes it is normal,
PKR uses a great deal of power and memory to run, and as yet has not found the best way to eliminate all the bugs..but they have managed to allocate insufficient power to the right areas during play, so you can continue whilst logged on without disconnecting/crashing/disruption etc (usually). There is a 'min spec' version that will be in you PKR folder that eliminates the advanced features (shadows, shading etc) that will help cure this problem, also if u have other applications running this will also stop the graphics from performing properly.

Try updating ur graphics driver (if u havent already), and also minimising and maximising sometimes helps. You can reload too which sometimes helps....

....However, i don't find it much of a problem as this is normally twinned with a lack of character sound - which on PKR can come as a relief once in a while.

They will eventually smooth out these bugs, and the GIANT lags that they are currently experiencing, and u probably wont even notice...but at least it doesnt disrupt play.

I currently have issues with PKR crashing my graphics card, which they acknowledge but dont seem to be too bothered about. This is most annoying during SNGs as it takes about 10 YEARS to reinitialise my pc, reboot PKR, then reload the table i was on......usually to the tune of 'loser' & 'x laughs his ass off' whilst taking all my dormant chips... and invariably my money too.

I wonder if anyone else is having similar difficulties?

what A CIRCUS!!! you really care about invisible peolpe on pkr, or avatars on fulltilt? or icons on carbon? or any of these non related to poker issues?

well, as one that cashed in our 3 tournaments out of the 4 we had in total (6th 6th first) i cautiously allow myself to tell you my yesterdays story.

My good friend came for a visit yesterday. i've known him since 10th grade.
back then, we used to sit at the same school table and today we are sitting every friday at my place for our weekly poker night with four other buddies.

the thing is, that his com is broken and even if it wasn't, he still could not play at pkr - really heavy site for weak old coms imo.

so we agreed to play a SNG each, not in order to see whos better also this but not only. we would like to compare between the game style- and see who survives longer. afterall its pkr - the most "real" game experience you can get online.

he played first....
as he sat down, he started to use all these unique chat options right away, coughed, tweareled the chips, laughed, danced and so on...
he (my friend) likes to play alot of hands=see more flops, likes to get the "action" from the game. likes to call the blind and see what the flop brings. in a turbo game like we played- i think this is totally wrong play but i never said a word to him, because in the end of the day if he wins, it would pay out - this style of his...
so he limps in from the button at third level with Q 3 off, after there were already 3 or four players in the game + the two blind posters and flop brings 9 3 3...
I started laughing as hell, because i'd fold this hand preflop even if seeing the flop with it is free, and he limpes and hits trips?! great move, what can i say....
so he managed to win about 500 chips WITHOUT showdown- so what?! lucky him. but lets move further... then he limps in from utg with J 9 off, 5 people total for the flop.
the flop comes A 7 3.... Both blinds check and there he goes again, fireing a 900 chips bet (omg its someones all-in!!!) with the excuse that "nobody calls- trust me"....
the big stack does call though, and the shotstack and the blinds fold. on the chat window, i see all kinds of talking about him (me jacksoff) and when the rag turn came, my buddy came (with these words - "i must") fireing his all-in with the feeling that the single flop caller will fold!
the chat window is exploding - "call" "fold" "its a bluff" "omg" and so on....
the calles writes - "im gonna get him" and after thinking for few more seconds, he finally makes the call showing A 7!!! to the world.
someone says: "LoL, WHAT A BLUFF", me at his back in LMFAO situation - on the floor, my friend is also laughes his whole existance off, and with a blink of an eye hes out of the tournament, this SNG, at 8th place....

i tell you, i've never seen anything like it since i began playing poker a year ago....

this was extremely funny all this... the fact that he bluffed all his chips. the fact that the called wouldnt make the call with any other two cards. the fact that the people (other players) were laUGHING AT JACKSOFF in the chat box that you could almost hear their laughs through all these distances.... it was hillarious!!!

NOW i wont tell you about the second game, of the real jacksoff was playing. just the fact i finished first maybe, and also an advice of: read the tips on full tilt about sng's. but yesterdays night was outstanding. no doubt about it....

Cheers
