I know what you mean - I had to play all of them to review em - I don't play all of them now though

best thing is to figure out what you like playing and then work out best sites from there

some of the lists I've seen forum members play at is unbelievable or very impressive

;-) from my point of view you should only play at sites that you haven't played before and then make massive deposits via my banner links lol

no seriously - let me know what sort of player you are / tournie / cash etc and I can make some suggestions

For me I think I can only keep track of 3 sites - but I want to play at some of the looser ones even though Im not so comfortable with the software.

on the PKR front I think it will be a site that you will either love 110% with the 3D / effects / tricks / real look or you won't and your happy grinding out profit against the mugs at

Party / Poker Heaven / Pacific / Bodog

Bodog is another site you either like or you don't - but there is no getting away from the fact that it is a really really loose site like pacific

Hi all,

Got the e-mail from pkr to download the software so with eagerness I signed up and downloaded it. After half an hour of downloading I set about booting it up ready to create some wacky character to start off with.

To my dismay my computer came up with the message 'fatal d3d init'.

Now my laptop is only a little over a year old and should be powerfull enough to run a program like this or is there some software I need to download?

It is connected to a moniter as the LCD met with an accident due to Aces full Kings, a lockdown, a no time to reboot and a fist.

Tip.... whene giving your laptop a pep talk... Do not hold the top of the screen while doing it! They are very durable but need to have a little..... erm.... give whene thje push is needed.

Any how, if anyone could help with my software/hardware issues it would be greatly appreciated.

hey dom
if your computer is only a year old, you shouldn't have a problem. i've just souped up a 7 year old computer to 512 ram and i'm running pkr without any problems. interestingly, my other, newer computer is having a similar problem to yours. you should try contacting their support as i'm sure this is not an isolated problem.

anyway, hope you get in, it's certainly worth a look !
