    Default Spades Lounge & Pkr

    Hi,

Is this the same skin as Spades Lounge? Just curious as the splash graphics look almost identical!

i think you must thinking of another site. spades has no character animation or talk at the poker table. pkr is a fully integrated 3D experience which really is quite revelutionary for an on-line poker site. whether or not it will catch on, is another question altogether but it is certainly an interesting project !

Default 3D poker sites & PKR

    hi

PKR is a totally stand alone site - and so far its the best 3D poker site that is actually going to get off the ground

there have been previous attempts - stacks poker for example - which didnt make it past very early prelaunch version

PKR is IMHO the nuts if your looking for 3D poker - and they seem to have a really good team behind it

there are other "3D" sites but to be honest from what I've seen they pretty much suck
they're clunky / poor graphics and won't get enough player volume to succeed

PKR however I think will - because the software and features are stunning and not just gimmick's done badly

plus you can customise most of the features - so things you don't like you can switch off

honestly I dont think it will appeal to every poker player - it's not susposed to - but I DO think it will appeal to the majority of recreational players and also I think alot more of the players who think they aren't interested will find they are

For the most part I think it will be a good site for all types of player - because you can make play as simple of a complicated as you like

    hope thats a help

i dunno.... there are some good sites out there.... like pjpoker, for example.

one of things that kind of bugged me about pkr was the fact when you're looking at your own cards, the character acts that out... i mean, c'mon, this is online poker. last thing i'd want is other people to think that i need to look at my cards more than a few times... which can indicate that i'm trying to go for a straight or a full house. notice when someone has pocket aces, they hardly ever look at their cards again. maybe i'm being nitpicky.

well clearly if you learn to remember your cards, this will actually work as a distinct advantage and i think they have just added this to enhance the general poker experience. you could of course, also use this as a trick to make yourself look uncertain when you have in fact got the nuts !!!

it's all nice and dandy... it's not a BAD feature per say...
except when you have multiple tables, that is and want to
    make money.

    Default looking at cards

    hi guys

personally I like the idea of the looking at cards feature

brings one of the live game tells to the online poker game - definately a massive tell if its showing suited on the board and they look down

then again players are going to play that trick and look when they know they have suited aces - great part of the game IMHO

then again I can see multi tabling will make this tricky - depends how you like to play - 1 table / 4 tables / 10 tables

I think the players there maybe so fishy and also monied that you could play single table game at higher limits and make good money

it just brings it a step nearer being in a real game in your home

    cheers scrawnybob
