Two problems since downloading PKR. (in only two attempts to play)
1. The first time my monitor suddenly was full of garbage - hugh letters and graphics. I had to turn off my computer and turn it on again to get to my desktop. I checked my computer's hardware and I think the requirements for PKR are met.
2. The second time(the next day) I was able to get into the site, but when I left one table to go to another, the system hung and terminated automatically.
Any one have similar problems or possible solutions?
Well those problems i had with pacific poker, you seem to have with pkr, try adjusting the screen resolution to something lower like 800/600 , use control alt delelte to close down all unneeded processes, and then check your internet connection, the faster the better that software runs,
If it was the site the same thing would happen to everybody, delete the programme make sure everything is shut down via task manager, delete all cookies, run a virus and adaware scan then do a defrag. Set your security to low and download the software and try again. Do another scan after you have downloaded and don't open any other application. In addition while your doing your defrag if your on high speed switch off your modem as it is possible for there to be bugs deposited in there too ( defrag can take a few hours so do it overnight ) rebooting your modem auto boots anything planted in there.
What a fantastic post! [/sarcasm]
Fortunately pothole's post was a little more constructive...
I must admit that I do find PKR quite demanding on my PC system resources, maybe try running it in Low Detail Mode, which is an option when you first start it?

Thanks for all the suggestions.
I have checked the system requirements and my computer meets them.
PKR has downloaded some updates when starting up, but I don't know if these updates fixed my problems, which ironically seem to have gone away(without any changes being made).
I have been able to enter the 4kingpoker freeroll and play at other tables.
So I will continue to play on PKR but will report if problems appear.
Im glad we could help you fix your problem, and ye if in the future you have any further questions your welcome to ask them any time,
pkr is now my favorite site, since tilt is giving me horrible beats like stars did over and over again , and this at omaha hi, what is now my favorite game .
Soon everybody will be playing at pkr , its a awesome site!
