Default Jamie Gold wins WSOP with Bodog

hi all

Jamie Gold Wins World Series of Poker 2006 Main Event - qualified online with Team Bodog Poker

Not a pro to be seen in the end - Cunningham I guess made it to final table but from what I gather the last few tables were very short on celebrity poker pros

and the eventual winner online poker player - Jamie Gold who qualified online through Team Bodog Poker

He played extremely well and made really good use of being chip leader and had been for several days

I Think the poker TV might slate him a bit epecially with editing - but I think to have kept the chip lead for such a length and also been the one that took out practically all of the final table single handedly -

that isnt luck - nice one Mr Bond -

Think we all need to get over to Bodog and check out the competition - it's already a very loose and easy to win site - SIGN UP on 4KINGPOKER BANNERS / LINKS

just think what a bunch of fish will be joining up now they have the WSOP winner to promote it with

cheers scrawnybob

Is Jamie Bond another name for him or is it just a typo? Jamie Gold was the name he has been using.
Not sure if maybe this is something like Dutch Boyd having been Russ Boyd when he first appeared on television, or a typo.

Anyways Cunningham came in 4th place (he got very unlucky 3x, if he could of avoided those tough beats and not doubled the same player 3x no doubt he could of won this as he is truly one the poker greats)..
For anyone who isn't familiar with him, Cunningham is one of those guys who could of easily got a sponsorship deal If he wanted to and could of cashed in with books, dvds etc if he wanted to. The opportunity has always been there for him.

Juanda, Negreanu, Ivey and Cunningham were all friends who played together regularly. According to Negreanu, Cunningham was the leader of the little crew they had and Juanda was the one who always said Cunningham was the best player of the four.

Anyways Cunningham has had plenty of success he is one of those guys who just kind of stayed away from all the big endorsement stuff. Guys like Reese, Morteson, Seed, Cunningham all could have go after and get endorsement deals if they wanted to; they all have much more low key personalities.

Default Jamie Gold / Bond Goldfinger

hi Jim

sorry my typo - was having a lateral thought session at the time and probably needed a lie down too

As I had been searching on google for jamie gold and ended up coming up with alot of James Bond / Goldfinger

Fixed now and I will go and have a lie down for a bit

I definately like Cunningham - but the thing I think that they will say about Gold is he got lucky when I dont think he did really

with a massive chip advantage he could afford to take risks without really endangering his lead - think any of the others wanting to get back were facing an uphill battle

I'd heard Cunningham ran into a couple of badbeats (not from Gold I dont think) which as you say took him down alot of chips

cheers scrawnybob

I read somewhere that Jamie Gold has won other WSOP bracelets in the past. Does anyone know if this is true.
