Do you make player notes ?

I try to take notes but because of the amount of players you come into contact with. Im not sure it makes you alot of cash... the players that I see regulary who multi table the same limits as me etc I tend to remember the same as live oponents.

You need to really know there style and re asses there mood etc eachtime you read the notes.

My notes tend to be....

Limps up front with shit
Traps up front
Minimum raises on early streets with big hands
Call HIM!!!!!
Tight
Loose
Asshole get him back (I may be sexist so for equal opps get her back)
Can Be bluffed with small bets
Thinks Im a nutter
Thinks Im a rock
Can fold
Cant Fold

I also try to get a tap on how they play by clicking find player and seing what games and levels there playing at.

I dont bother. I make mental notes on players i see often. I play low stakes and muti- table on cash games 50/1.00 and 1.00/2.00. I make good profit there and to be honest there are so many poor players at that level notes are not needed. When i move up stakes i might consider getting more technical.

I make plarer notes alot. i found a web site called "United Poker Notes.com". The site lets you input your notes about players and gives you acces to other peoples notes as well. Its broken down by poker room and screen name. I mainly use it to mark bad/sloppy players. The sites relativly new so the player data base is small but its growing all the time.

I never took player notes as I feel that is not very useful. You may think to much of what you have wrote about a player and it could cost you. Players often change up how they play. In freerolls you will see very loose play as it is very understandable. However, in a big event even the loose freeroll type players will tighten up their game. People can say no matter what stake it is they always play the same way but in reality that is not the truth. For example in a freeroll 100 chips is basically nothing but in a huge event or ring games 100 chips is a 100 dollars.

when i'm settling in on a site and playing a lot os SNG, i find simple notes very useful. usually what i'm looking for is who to avoid and who to go after - beyond that, i generally play my cards but when you're not getting hands sometimes you need to bluff. knowing who you can bluff against and who will call you is very, very useful !

i take notes about everything. especially if you took my chips. even the amount you took.i collect every ounce of data you will give me at a table but only at one card room. i have had people ask me if i have any notes on so and so. they have been extremely helpful. it is amazing the volume of people you play with and i forget them until... i read what i got on them.

Yes, i know its important to make notes but i dont make as many.....
