I wrote out a pretty lengthy response here but then the site timed out on me and I lost it all.... sigh...
So this time a much shorter version

Generally speaking.... on the 27's you'll find alot more fish. The play is pretty reckless in early going (using Fulltilt $5 27's for an example) with some players willing to stack off preflop with mid prs. &/or AQo when blinds are only 20/40.
I have a friend who started playing them around a month ago and they went from a losing player (on STT) to running with ROI +15% and have sinced moved up from $5's to the $10's (the play is alot better on the $10's - 27 then the $5's but still are alot of fish).
You'll also come across a handful of regulars in the 27's who are doing very well in them (ie. up $1-3k at the $5 buyin level).

In short.... yah... if you're a decent player it's alot easier to get a decent winrate playing the 27's.
(like I mentioned.... I wrote a bunch about the differences of each and what to expect in the 27's & how they compare to STT, etc. etc..... but finding it tough to get motivated to write it out again).
I'm off to go play a few 27's right now.... GL on the tables!

My friend has won well over $600 in the past 30days after switching over to play the 27's. This is a formerly losing player on STT.
Be prepared for a ton of badbeats.
    If you're multi-tabling them....Yes..better hourly winrate. GL!

expand on the hourly winrate thing & why.... you'll often find the 27's getting down to the final table while the blinds are still reasonably low (it's pretty insane). I've made it to final table with blinds still only at 40/80... but more often at 60/120 and you're there.
They move along pretty quickly considering they're not turbo levels (alot of the players in them are crazy reckless.... I mean ALOT).
couple of examples from 2 games played yesterday...

early levels.... 30/60 Utg Raises 3x, Utg+1 calls, MP reraises to 760... LP shoves 1,850 and MP calls down with JTo (LP has AA.... but JTo wins).

    another one...
    UTG+1 raises 3x... MP 3bets BIG to 10x... UTG+1 MinReRaises (<<??).. MP shoves. & UTG+1 calls
UTG+1 shows QTs.... MP shows AKs

^^ this kind of stuff is not uncommon in them
