avoid absolute poker and ultimate bet

I used to play on absolute poker and ultimate bet. I was playing high stakes poker for a long time on there and was cheated out of about $60,000. The owner Russ Hamilton (graycat) was able to see my hole cards. I don’t doubt in any way that they still have access to cheat. I read on several different sites that ultimate bet and absolute poker would reimburse the players cheated in full with interest. I have been trying for several months to get my hand history as well as my account being investigated for this issue. I talked to the support department the other day and they said my account wasn’t even being investigated. These two companies are just a big scam. They don’t take care of their customers, they just rob them blind! I recommend using more secure sites such as poker stars or full tilt poker. They will take care of you and make sure things are fair. If you happened to get cheated on stars or fulltilt they would definitely make sure you get your money back immediately! AVOID ULTIMATE BET AND ABSOLUTE POKER AT ALL COSTS!!!!!

I'm sorry hear you are having problems. I'm on the other end playing only small forum games. My withdrawals have been extremely fast but only for a few hundred dollars. I wish I could say that about several other sites.

you are an idiot! first of all this was in 2008! secondly i have only played small stakes on there since then do to being cheated out of 60 grand! i wont make another deposit on those sites till they resolve the issue. i played with my rakeback but now i wont even do that. im done with those sites till i get reimbursed. so if you have nothing importanat to say on the matter stfu!

if your account was cheated as you said it seems strange that you would continue playing small stakes there. can't fault the man for looking up your stats, you put it out there for anyone curious to look.

You mentioned you don,t doubt they still have the access and ability to Cheat ?? That was covered all over and even exposed by 60 minutes.It was quite a while ago in 2008 as you say. I haven,t heard any proof of corruption lately. The S/W guys involved were fired they reported. Money was to be reimbursed. If you have a claim there you should have been re-imbursed by now ?

Cant comment on the player stats but as much as I had stopped promoting UB & Absolute over the cheating scandal I think they have now cleared out the bad eggs

I'm in two minds on whether to promote them again as I am increasingly in the minority as many sites have been promoting them again in the last few month

In all honesty I think they are ok to play at now even high stakes - they did finally sort out the mess it just took them too long to deal with it

anyway I'm not doubting that you may have lost 60k playing on UB or Absolute but IF you were a victim of the super user account thing - they should have found the discrepancy and refunded you cheated losses accordingly

the issue with the cheating was NOT that players weren't ultimately refunded (they were) it was because UB / Absolute didnt pick up on it themselves and then when it was found they dragged their heels ... but I dont think they have waited this long

I cant believe with a chunk of 60k of your own money on the line that you havent chased this up alot earlier

you should have requested they look at you account and give them some idea when you thought you were playing against a SU account so they could have looked at yours with everyone elses ... I think the high high stakes games were totally looked at - Mike the Mouth got money back (thought he would probably say not all of it)

I know I wouldnt be playing low stakes for pennies or just posting in forums if I felt someone owed me a lump of 60k - I'd be hunting their a** down until they settled up

that just doesnt make sense to me but there we are

Poker bots seem to be widely used and are destroying Online poker. Also, I have no doubts that the two poker sites in question have thier own bots to rob players in ring games and to keep players 'out of the money' in tourneys. I haven't played UB much, but from my personal experience with AP I have noticed too many STRONG 'players', which i believe to be bots and/or affiliates of the site. Bodog is not well known, seems to be much more legitimate and fair.
