Thread: Pokerstars Cash out issue

  1. #1

    Default Pokerstars Cash out issue

Put about 550 dollars on to the site when i first joined to take advantage of the bonus deal they offered. By two days i had created a healthy profit so i thought i would cash out my original stake money i then recieved this email

Your recent cashout request was placed on hold.

It has come to our attention that you are cashing out funds from a recent
    deposit.

Please provide an explanation for this activity.

    Thank you for the cooperation.

What do i say back and have i done something wrong here and what will eventually happen?

Poker Stars may believe that you are "laundrering" money. That is a No-No to most sites and they may ask for an explanation.

I cashed out a large amount from PS last year with out any trouble at all. It took about 7 days to get to my account. I had been with them a while and made more than one deposit however.

Other sites have asked for verification details such as photo id utility bill and photocopy of card with central numbers blanked out before they would let me cash out.

I think i am floating around 150 dollars up mark, nothing major but i am trying to work on bankroll management. It crazy they can even question why i want to take money off, if it weren't for all the easier opposition i would go back to full tilt. tried cashing off on thursday and got a email day after which i just recently discovered. I think it down to the fact i have not played many games so they have not got their money worth out of me yet. i was looking through rules and cant see which one i could have broken.

    Default transaction charges

    hi

I would guess as well as security it also a general concern for all sites with costs of charge backs and also cashouts ...

poker sites AND poker affiliates get stung with massive cashout costs from players making lots of withdrawls etc ... these costs are not generally passed onto the players

however those costs have got bigger and bigger so I guess sites are trying to make sure they are kept to a minimum

on some sites - the deductions they make from our commissions for % of cost of PLAYERS transaction costs actually means wiping out most of the money ... so if they are just passing on a % that means alot of transactions can also wipe out anything they may have made off the rake

player transaction costs are becoming a big cost that everyone else is footing at the moment

some sites I think are looking at giving players say one free cashout per month and charging at cost for additional ones - but those costs mount up if your on the business end of poker

there wont be anything shady from pokerstars end - they will just want to double check the validity of the account and transactions

    hope thats a help

Haven't had any problems cashing at FT or PS, but had problems with sites that request photo-id, etc, and using credit cards. Since opening an account at Moneybookers, I have not had any problems anywhere, and would recommend this method (or other similar method) for your financial transactions (keeping in mind that you should understand their terms and conditions).

A mistake made in the past is not as important as the lesson learned from it.

as u said u deposited it to take advantage of a bonus deal...im sure as part of that bonus you had to clear a certain amount of "FPP" in a certain amount of time...and there is no way you did it in 2 days...i would say you're probably not gonna get any money from them until the time limit to earn those FPPs is over...if they let you withdraw anything how much $$$ would they base that bonus on???.you're not gonna get any bonus by withdrawin that origional $550 b4 time is up....just my thoughts on it

Yeah there is so much fine print. I read one site says you cannot withdraw a deposit for 7 days. Understandable. I do not remember pokerstars rules. I know they have sent me merchandise from fpps's earned, and payed me 200 dollars when I asked for it.

They are just making sure everything is on the up and up. If you are trying to clear a bonus, you might be lucky if they released 15 bucks of the bonus to you. So you'd be lucky to be able to withdraw $550 + $15. Not be able to withdraw the healthy profit you mentioned.

I did that earlier this year. I made $50 into $120, but I still did not meet the bonus requirements. You woulda been able to probably withdraw your original amount if you requested.
