That's a nice hand Alnoble. And yeah... I wouldn't have given a dog turd for your chances there, but it worked out.

I had a nice payback for all the bad beats yesterday too on a cash table. I almost felt bad, but not so bad that I didnt' want the chips.

ha ha ha.. very lucky indeed. I saw something similiar on the bubble of a SNG last night, one donk had K7s & had called an open raiser (who had JJ), Flop came 999 and K7s bet & then called shove?? and then a 9 comes on turn and he wins w higher kicker, sick.
I'm guessing you don't want comments on the play here alnoble? (why raise 4x with AJo for starters?, you're bloating up the pot in my opinion... unless your standard preflop raise is always 4x?). Calling a MinReRaise pre out of position, when a raise of this size is almost always AA /KK (unless it's a total rookie who is just clueless about raise sizing). AJ can play pretty poorly vs. a 3-bet.... ie. if you hit your Ace you are obviously way behind if they've raised you with the likely hand 'AK', if you hit your Jack... you're very likely behind other typical range for 3-bettor (AA, KK, QQ).
Question: when you called there preflop, what flop were you actually hoping to see where you'd feel comfortably ahead? I would think almost none.. unless it was KQT or JJx

PO I never say no to play comments from you. Without giving my game away too much I'm not a great fan of limping in mid position.

AJ not a bad hand on micro tables as you tend to get a lot of A rags calling standard raises. I tend to vary the size of raise between 3 and 5 x BB must have been time fo a 4X here. I'd have probaly played it more conservativly in a 4kp game.

Here as you suggest I should have folded to the re raise from a short stack. After the flop I was just trying to push him off the hand by putting him Allin. When he called I expected to see a K in his hand not AA.

The fact that you commented on the hand means I've learnt something because it's made me think of how I played thank you.

By the way do you do master classes and where can I sign up.
