    Default bbig changes June 1st

The USA government gets really nasty June 1st. I am wondering what the thinking is on money in poker rooms. should we pull most of it out before then?

They're becoming even nastier than they were before?

I'm thinking they will push the date back again. PPA is always fighting to get online poker legalized. The FBI investigation into Fulltilt and couple of their high profile players concerns me though. Hopefully congress will get moving on this.

I don't read a lot of the updated news about what the government is doing and or planning to do so if you wouldn't mind being more specific than your original post was I'd love to share an opinion as to what I will be doing with my $.

June 1st is when they are supposed to start enforcing the UGwhatever law that passed awhile ago. The PPA keeps fighting to get it pushed back and also fighting to get online poker regulated and not included in that. The law makes it illegal to transferr money electronically to gambling sites. That's why it has become so difficult to get money into sites for US players. Originally they gave I think 6 months or so for financial institutions to get their policies in line with the act, but like I said, it keeps getting pushed back. Hopefully they will get online poker regulated, though as I said in another thread, the FBI is now investigating Fulltilt and 2 of their top players (Chris F. and Howard L.) for what they are calling money laundering, which I am assuming is tied to this law, which as of now will start June 1st.

One thing you can always be sure of in life - it can always get worse!

That tends to be especially true when politicians become involved...

I thought the UIGEA was allready in effect, hell thats why the owner of BetonSports has been sitting in prison for like 2 years i thought plus thats why us Americans can't use credit cards or debit cards to fund accounts ...and most online casinos won't accept USA players at all anymore so maybe its the fact that starting June 1st they will target the online poker world now???
