Is hands like this that make me feel more and more like giving up on poker. 3 left in up against a player that was using his large stack and raising almost every hand. Wasn't surprised that he called with his A6 but did FullTilt have to give him a straight flush

Just another example of the BIG STACK can,t lose theory of mine. I hate to play anything against the Big Stack. Its like the Poker site has decided to end the tournament.The Tournament has gone on long enough taking up there resources so they decided on the winner already.When players talk about Busted Aces, Isn,t it quite often by the Big Stack.And your right when the yBust you they Bust you good.Like I had A-Q against Big Stack,s Ace-10 ,, and Big STack hits Ace plus not one but two 10,s to make a Boat.
Okay i get the point ,, never challenge the big stack ....

As far as the hand goes.... CL is correct to apply pressure BUT he should just be shoving pre if he has any thoughts of calling to a reraise by SB (you). His call is bad for sure .. BUT.. if he'd just shoved pre...then your call would've been incorrect (as I'm sure you're aware).

I'm like all poker players and suffer selective memory and only remember when I get sucked out on an not when I do it to others. It sometimes helps to let off steam.

I think I played it right just got unlucky I wanted to win I wasn't happy to finish 2nd or 3rd. I could have folded in the hope the player with less chips than me went out before I did so I could limp to 2nd but I wanted the win. Such is life

I was venting a little too. lol No you should never feel like holding out for 2nd with 3 players left unless the difference between 2nd and 3rd was a Big $$ difference or was crucial for League points or something.You would do the same thing again given the chance and be right doing it. !!!
But it feels good to Vent ....
