Killa out of interest what did u feel u learned from doyles supersystem 2 in regards to texas hold em as its the only one i have read and i felt it explains what are basic strategies of the game with no additional advice.

ie-i like suited connectors at the correct price they can crack big pairs
if u are getting 5-1 on a call but u think u will win 1 in 4 its a profitable call

sorry to slightly change ur subject but am interested

Every book i read so far help me in a way, some books more than others but i think you decide what books to read in the way that depends what your looking to improve (NLH, limited, fixed, OM, Razz, stud, etc, also you want for MTT, S&G or ring), some are general to introduce in poker others are specifically for some type of game.

In my case i read this.

1.The Theory of Poker (David Sklansky)
    2. Hold em Poker For Advanced Players (Sklansky and Malmuth)
    3. Doyle Brunson's Super System - A Course in Power Poker
    4. Phil Gordon's Little Green Book - Texas Holdem
    5. Insider Secrets of Online Poker
    6. Tournament_Tactics(Roy_Rounder)
    7. Harrington On Hold'em: Expert stratg for NL Tournies (V1 - Strategic Play)
    8. Harrington On Hold'em: Expert stratg for NL Tournies (V2 - The Endgame)
    9. Treat your poker like a business - Dusty Schmidt
    10. Collin Moshman Sitngo strategy (still reading this)

    11. Winning Poker Tournaments - One hand at a time - Volume I (Lynch, Van Fleet & Turner ). Read very good reviews on this book, and already got it, will read it as soon as can.

Books in bold are the top books for me (so far).

I first start with general books about poker, then go for specifically MTT or S&G strategy because that is what i like to improve, donīt care much for ring.

I think PO read like 40 books, probably he can advice better about best books.

T.J. Cloutier's No-Limit & Pot-Limit Tournament Poker (big help with my live play).

Caro's Book of Tells ( even bigger help).

Improve Your Poker by Ciaffone & Rubens if I remember correctly (very good book).

Ray Zee's Split Poker (excellent for learning Stud-8 and Omaha-8).

    Theory of Poker (essential reading).
