yep the freerolls were always going to be a free for all - but I setup the horse freeroll because otherwise alot of legit members wouldnt have put in for the $5 buyin game

and I wanted members to try HORSE (also so they could get some practice for the $5 buyin and also the $2 horse game later in the series)

having password sharers etc was / is an unfortunate burden we have to carry for 2 games out of 14 which isnt too bad IMHO

Thanks for opening my eyes to RAZZ and OMAHA - Im going to have check those games out, I felt like I was playing blind today, BUT I DID get 17th even though I had to sit out from the second hour on to get up the card room. I sorta understood OMAHA but that RAZZ thank god you had that page of hands to play, I just said if I get one of those hands Im gonna just push hard and just figured if I keep getting those same cards later in the hand it must be good, VERY ODD I made by biggest chip advances on Razz and Omaha and STUD. HAD A LOT OF FUN ON THE TOURNY TODAY and I have never had this much real money in a full tilt account (.72)

congratulations to leanandmean for winning the first bracelet in the 4KSOP Horse Freeroll event

good game everyone - and fighting through the inevitable password sharers - thankfully only one more freeroll to go ;-)

Total of 94 entries

I finished a not great 28th

commiserations to NB1961 for finishing bubble boy

lets hope we can get todays 13 entries up to 20 and make a real game of it

ps. the bracelets for the freerolls WILL stand - basically leanandmean has still fought through a 94 strong field - even if a portion were not members - I dont see any difference to the actual achievement

otherwise its like saying the WSOP bracelets dont count as they have to play through 6000 lucky donks before getting to the final few tables where the "real poker" starts - doesnt make sense to take the win away especially as the winner is a member of the forum

IMHO alot of the players were members - just members who wont deposit or dont have funds or will only play freerolls

I was registered for last night but didn't get home until 11:30pm which I was anoyed about as need the practice at HORSE.

I had agreed with the other half we would be back by 10. Trouble was it turned out to be a bit of a celebration evening as I was successful getting a new position at work rather than redundancy.

Will be playing tonight. Big difference at the moment in the number of players register for tonight compared to last night.

Quick note I thought the freerolls weren't scoring events because of the possible pw sharers

as far as I can remember I didnt say anything about NOT scoring the freerolls - they're bracelet events and afaiks they count for scoring

not sure where the idea that they didnt count came from

if they didnt count then some people are going to moan - if they do other people are going to moan

so they count - they score - they get bracelets

I appeciate that as predicted they would get crashed but getting through field of 94 is going to be a hell of alot harder than through 13 so I certainly think that should be counted

otherwise there is more of an arguement for not scoring 9 places in events where 75% of field is likely to make the points

while the HORSE freeroll was ineveitably crashed by password sharers equally I see alot of forum names for way back who clearly just dont play the buyins ... so can all members please NOT get arsy with players in the remaining freeroll in the 4KSOP as I dont want actual members getting abuse from other members assuming they shouldnt be playing when in fact they legitimately could be playing - its not good PR for the forum and doesn encourage members to be more active

DOH... i totally missed the game. And i like HORSE. It requires a good knowledge of all the games. Maybe I,m glad i missed it in a sense. I think its maybe a poor choice for a free roll imho because your going get everyone in (thieves as well) and half not knowing the games. So I imagine there was a lot of DONKING going on. lol Nothing is worse than a player winning a hand by totally DONKING it because they don,t even understand it ,, lol

this is great to see - with 2hrs before the start time we have 19 registered for the $5 buyin $100 added HORSE Players championship

that is really really heartening to see

lets hope this bodes good numbers for all the other games and variations

I hope more players who like horse can make the game ... the main reason for having the horse freeroll was to introduce the game to more members and a freeroll with no money cost to them seemed the best way - I can totally understand some previously not keen to play a game for real money that they'd never played so hopefully last nights game and tonights will get some converts to the game ;-)

personally although I will happily admit to falling into the horse donk category at times I love playing different variations and HORSE is great for getting you thinking

I don't think there were any PW thieves in the HORSE free roll. And the level of play was excellent. Maybe $40 wasn't enough to attract the thieves. I sure enjoyed it
