Is This Cheating????

Hi folks, i have a question. ok,


1) you play at a poker site, where getting your money off is near impossible. Like most all of the sportsbooks on merge and cake.


2) since the site is say on merge, you have a buddy who has money, on another merge site where withdrawal is easy, then they get into a 2 person HU, $100 game with you, when u are on the site that you cant withdraw from


3) you purposely lose to your buddy.


4) he transfers the money to you on the other room


5) you withdraw that money

Now i'm pretty sure this is against TOS of the poker rooms, but is it cheating?

Instead of playing and possibly being open to accusations of cheating couldnt they just transfer the cash and then have it transferred back to them at the other site

I think the way the site would look at it is that you purposely lost so they would look on that as cheating even though you did it without trying to cheat anyone out of any money

Personally i think that it is OK but i dont make the rules

yes with out any doubt it is considered cheating

to those that voted no, you might wanna look at the terms and conditions you agreed to when you register on a poker site.

I say it is without adoubt against the rules of every site, but i don't believe its cheating. To me cheating means doing something that gives you a very unfair advantage over your competition. For example before steroids were considered illegal even though they were not against the rules they most definately were cheating. My point being that just because its against the rules or just because it is within the rules does not determine if something is cheating

Hey gang,
I don't know what's the real meaning thru this question Villa.
Do you want us to tell you what's our own point of view on such a law? Cause i know you already have the answer to this question.
So here is my own way to look at this --> NP get the money the way you want to but try to wait for some real hand to blow your stack, saying some a str8 vs flush thing, you know what i mean. With skype i guess it wouldn't be that hard.

what are you ppl talking about? He said a 100$ HU match. You pay a fee there, it's HU so it has nothing to do with dumping or any other form of cheating because it doesn't involve other players. You can do whatever u want. Your buddy can just sitout and u can get all the blinds.

LOL MO, if his buddy sitout then Villa win, but Villa want to lose, not win.

I think what Villa is asking is more about skins in merge, example Villa will be playing from sportsbook and his buddy from another skin (still in merge), so Villa will try to lose to his buddy, that way money go from Sportsbook to the other skin (where villa do can cashout so his buddy will transfer him that money on the other skin) but is not that he will lose and money still will be there in same room, they will take out that money from the skin.

The cheat in here is that Villa will intentionally lose (that is chip dumping no matter if are not others players involve), rake will be charge but Villa will not have $ after that in sportsbook (we don´t now why can´t take out that $ in first place).

So, for room is cheat?, i guess it is, you are losing intentionally and making that money go out from sportsbook where is mention can´t cashout.

Like Hoje coment, Villa already know this, not sure the point of the topic. If is to know what everyone thing about this, who cares, if really plan to do that is not a good idea posting this in forums.

chip dumping is considered a no-no

a few years back, when dynamic gaming was getting ready to shut some doors........i decided to give my $ (125) away since i couldn't withdraw it. i had no idea what i was doing was wrong. i got in trouble for it and then they banned me and the person i gave it too.

you are taking advantage of the site not the players.

just state at the bottom in the comments....I AM GIVING HIM MY MONEY....that by the dictionary is not collusion as it is not secret.
Even without that OF COURSE u are not CHEATING as ur question asks as per below meaning

There are only 2 of u involved at table and u both know whats happening.....surely someone has to be CHEATED before someone can be called a CHEAT.

If the question was is this COLLUSION rather than cheating that would be more debatable...like i say though so long as u stated in comments what u r doing its no secret hence that is no longer collusion.
