Showing your hand!

I prefer not to show my hand. I feel it gives away my game tradegy or type of play. However on occasion I have shown my hand when a player has requested I do so. Some players do get annoyed when you refuse to do so. What are your views on this situation?

I usually never show my hand, i will do it for someone i have been playing with for awhile as they know my tendencies, but other then that i try not to

I show my hand unsolicited at least once a night usually. Last night it was QQ ... Flop came T98 ... I led out. Girl asked how much I was playing and she smooth called. Turn was a K. I made a small bet, got raised big and after deliberating, put her on K T and folded face up.

It's sort of, 'go ahead and bluff me while i wait for the nuts to double through.' Don't play enough hands for them to use it against me generally.

People that get annoyed if you don't show are morons.

I never show in public tourneys. Occasionally I'll show in forum games.

People who like to show bluffs-that's a two-edge sword. It will get them calls when they have the nuts, but it will also get calls when they don't. Then they wonder "how did you call that?" Hmmmmmmmmmm.

If someone asks me to show my hand I might at times depending what I want them to think. Agree with TF that they're idiots if it annoys them.
