I often here everyone talk about their table image. My question is, "Isn't everyone trying to create a table image that they can use to their advantage later, and if so shouldn't we expect tight players early that get a little aggressive later to maybe playing loose at that point"? Or are most players just predictable and stuck in the way they play? Sometimes I'll try to play loose early, play a lot of cheap pots (usually hit 1 or 2 with a bad starting hand) then tighten up hoping to get a big hand and get paid off. Seems that I never get that big hand when I do that though.

Everyone creates a table image and depending on the level of poker your playing most are not aware of their own or others table image

Sometimes when you think you are "changing" your image, may not always be picked up even by those who are watching "image". Remember you see all your hole cards, they only see what is showdown or revealed.

Generally it is easier to create a table image then have others notice you have changed.

I have thought of table image a lot because it can be both good and bad for us i think.If you can have 1 image, either tight or loose then manipulate the rest of the table at a very critical point by changing said image, boy how cool would that be.But who can tell what their image is to all the other players on the table, so if 3 others peg you for very tight, 1 for little bit cautious,2 for loose, 2 for donk and 1 thinks your actually asleep how and when could you change your image then to help yourself ? I think thats how it can be bad for you because we can not know what others really think of us most of the time. Except if you were me and you knew everyone thinks you suck
