Won a $45 tourney at the casino!

Hello all. I played a tournament at Greektown Casino yestarday, and I made the money! I was 2nd in chips, and we all decided to chop 5 ways. Before we agreed to chop, when there were 7 left (pays 5), we also agreed as a table to throw $10 to the bubble (That's $10 a piece, so the bubble gets $50). So we made the pay, then someone brought up splitting. At first, I didn't really want to split, but I never said that, just thought it. I was 2nd in chips, and I feel that I was in good shape to win that thing. But, then I thought, what if an unlucky beat forces me out in 5th, for $118? That is when I decided splitting 5 ways was a smart thing to do. I played some excellent poker yesterday. In one of the early hands, I was dealt aces. The blinds were 25/50, starting stack 3500. I was UTG preflop, so I make it 250. One caller, and BB says "Make it 800". I say "Make it all in". The other caller folds, BB says, "I call but if you have aces, good hand". The aces held up (BB had kings), to double me and take him out. And here's the fantastic part: The other caller who folded to my 3-bet, would have flopped a set, and took us both for a ride, but he folded those pocket 7's to heavy betting (smart if you ask me, early in mtt). If I would have "slow played" the aces, I would have got destroyed. I am just lucky that kings were dealt to the BB and he reraised. But when I made it 250 preflop, I thought someone may come over the top, that's what I wanted to happen. But it was kinda lucky that things worked out that way. Anyways, I contibute this win to all of hands I play online at bodog, and all of the reading and posting I do here at 4kingpoker.com. I feel I am 10 times the poker player I was 2 months ago. Maybe I am just lucky. But I think my game is better now. I pulled off some pretty good bluffs for blinds and stuff at the tourney, and that was based on good reads. Yah I havent played at Greektown 4 awhile now.. a few times in the summer... i'm closer 2 Sarnia Port Edward casino ...U eva been there...or even Windsor my hometown..... I think they have a butta poker room @ motor city

The Pot was 1600 (40 players, $45 buy in -$5 for rake, 40 goes to pot), split 5 ways, $320 - $10 for the bubble. $310, profit $265.

I have never been to Sarnia, but I have been to the Winsor casino a few times, and I remember a long time ago going to one on a boat in Windsor. But since I have been a poker player, I have never been to any casinos except Vegas, Detroit, and a couple in a few states (I was a truck driver, don't remember where). Peace.

Well thanx dude! I just thought if I were the bubble, I would want my money back, so that's why I agreed. Everybody knows that being the bubble sux. Anyways, peace and all that.
