Hay just wanted to say that I have not been a MTT person but I've been playing free rolls and doing so so. I played a 2.20 MTT and came in 15th out of 486 only made 8.75. What is the key to place all the time???

Unfortunately the 'key' is that placing ITM won't be happening that often. > typically in the micro buyin levels you'll see good players with an ITM (in the money) of 15-25% (sometimes 30%) and in the higher buyins the top MTT players typically are ~9-12% ITM. The 'key' is getting those finishes that are at the top of the payout scale (final tables!!).
The Harrington On Holdem books are a good place to get a decent background for playing Tournaments (NLHE). I've also heard that they are the most read tournament books out there & you'll also often hear (from top mtt players) that it was reading the HOH books that was the first turning point in their games. They are a tad outdated these days but still provide a very solid foundation for Tournament play & personally I'd highly recommend them. Good chance you'll find them at your local library 'or' will be able to order them up at the library via an 'inter-libarary book loan'.

oh yah.. the other ''key' is >> RUN GOOD!!!

You can lead a horse to water, but a Donkey will chase you to the river.

I thought villain played bad here. What do I know? It worked out for him!
You said it the best. The donkeys will chase you to the river and run you down on the way!!!
Definately played it very poorly.I wouldn,t have called 555 chip raise after missing the flop.I would have abandoned the Ace-King right there. But to call the 6xx raise is just foolish. But maybe he thought being a S&G he pot committed himself and couldn,t recover with only 1/2 a stack so early on that he gambled the river. And he could get into another S&G faster or maybe was multi playing and winning some other S&G,s. Still i can,t agree with the chase after the flop.
