Doyles,True Poker and BetDsi bite the dust

According to my source both of them have been indicted by the DOJ for offences linked to gambling as opposed to poker. Apparantly this affects US players only but as the domains have been seized by the DOJ, atm it is not possible to access them...which means my money has bitten the dust presumably.

Gotta love the US government.......Land of the free my arse.

P.S. who gets to keep all the money?

I think I will be penning this as "Bleak Monday" in the blog
it just keeps getting better for the land based casinos sat in the wings

(I also think that will likely be some more lost cash that I wont see - cant be sure yet)

I don't get this, every one keeps saying Doyles got shut down but i played a game there last night and just logged in a few minutes ago and was able to play again and the site is running fine ????

afaiks they have lost the .com domains but the sites have moved domains and continue to operate

this seems to be due to sportsbetting activities rather than poker but obviously being involved in both it would have affected their .com brand sites

I have been told Doyles are now running as normal from DoylesRoom.ag

Just downloaded from there and it works fine.

Anybody got any news on BETDSI? Same problem there.

CAn someone lay out the DOYLES ROOM STORY. Heard he ripped people off before he was on cake, Heard a podcast that said DOYLE owed CAKE millions before it went to its newest network. DOYLE had to know the gig was up giving up the rights to everything 2 weeks before the latest bust. Everything Im hearing, makes DOyle seem kind of scummy. Am I missing something

Rob as far as i know Doyle was only ever the face of the company, never part of the ownership, so he was like a mascot like the COLONEL FROM KFC

dont blame doyle - although its still a little wierd that the room formerly known as DoylesRoom will continue to be known as DoylesRoom its fundamentally ONLY ever been a sponsorship / mascot type deal

as Petey said its like the Colonel and KFC

Doyle doesnt own or most importantly run DoylesRoom

anyone remember Chan Poker (same sort of setup) but that failed and so the name got dropped also

its just lending his name to a site - personally I wouldnt want to have to keep lending my name to them but I suspect he is more contractually tied than just being able to jump off and have his name removed

they have still retained the rights to use his name
