    How does this situation affect the sportsbooks - will US players be allowed to sign up and bet or will they be forced to fold up? - recognizing that FT and PS do not have a sportsbook, and Merge is "temporarily" not accepting new sign-ups from US players.

    A mistake made in the past is not as important as the lesson learned from it.

    Default payment processing will / is affecting everything

    basically its down to payment processing - that is affecting all gambling & poker which would include sportsbooks

    In the last couple of days at least a dozen generally repuatable casinos have closed to US players because they simply cannot process the deposits

    This is basically what all the sites are up against so it will affect more and more sites IMHO across the whole of the market
