Default what is with Jamie and Phil H.?

does anyone here watch "high stakes poker?" I love the show but this year I think it is very apparent that Gold does not like Phil Helmuth very much and has made some snide comments and questionable gripes at phil. Am I the only one to notice this?

Phil had previously made some snide comments about Jamie in the press about the whole thing with Jamie's prize money and the whole deal with him oweing some guy half of it. However they did make up and seemed to be getting along ok (see WSOP 2007 main event when they both were watching the final table) but I think a little bit still lingers in there.

Also though Phil can be easily tilted and I think some of it maybe aimed at trying to tilt him slighlty or try and get a rise out of him for the entertainment value, a lot of the stuff on HSP is banter and sometimes it goes a little too far (i.e. the players accusing Freddy Deeb of goin south). I really don't think there is much in it.

I'll tell you who definately doesnt like Phil Hellmuth, that guy who was there for the first session, Brian Brandon. Him and Phil def didnt like each other.

thanks for the info. I am not a big Gold or Helmuth fan but I could see the intensity when Gold would get on Phil. Helmuth likes to play the part of a "put on" kind of guy anyway so I think maybe we'll see a little snap backa action on his part..

Default Phil Hellmuth summed up nicely

hi

I think you summed it up nicely -

Phil Hellmuth - respect the player and the results

dont respect the attitude and the personality

cheers scrawnybob

Default Results show

Poor Phil, Poor Jamie. If I could anywhere near either of their results I don't think I would actually care what anyone thought. But I would also like to think that I would have some sort of sense of sportsmanship. Sorry if you like PH but as a sportsman he can't drive for crap!
