Done. It disgusts me how bad I am, or wait, how bad others play which somehow is affecting my results more than theirs. It is absolutely rediculous how people play this game. We all complain of suckouts and bad beats, but if I posted every hand I've played for the past however long, you would be shocked at how rediculous I've had things. I don't mean my aces or kings getting cracked, sure, it happens. I mean the calls from idiots who have no spot in a hand, oh, and suckouts where I am a huge favourite (example, AQ offsuit beat my AA a couple days ago).

I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong, or what. If poker pros were put to a $3 speed game on PartyPoker, would they do as bad as I am doing or would they come out a winner? It's sad to know that I went 7/8 tournies in the money at $3 games on Party, then I went a solid 15 with 1 3rd place. Bad cards, bad beats, and a whole lot of fish. It's interesting though, the further I go in MTTs, the better I do. Why is that? Because people understand the game. I'm debating whether I could play well at higher stakes or not, but I'll never know. I will just stick with freerolls now, other than that I am done with this game.

dont give up - that is the difference between a winning player and the rest - being able to ride out the bad runs

The more I've read about the pro's playing in live games the more I've realised just how hard it is to stay positive and at the top of their game

I know what you mean about playing better players - there isnt a better feeling than when you get a good player to muck his hand because youve out played them

but with all the bad players - it means playing a bit differently

I think from your previous post when you'd started your zero to x quest you had got up a few dollars bankroll

I think the problem here is the size of bankroll relative to what a player needs to start in real money games

also turbo games are absolutely the worst place for you abilities to shine - they are turbos because the people playing them want a quick buzz and theyre going to be maniacs

I would signup to some more sites and start playing more freerolls - see which sites have 5/10 cent 2/4 cent micro cash games and $1 SNGS

so that when you can build up your bankroll to $10+ you have a max of 10% in a game

IMHO with the Chris Ferguson approach you have to think -

I really need a $50 bankroll to play 5% so until I build up $10 and bust out five times - I havent given it a fair chance

As I've said before $50-$60 is the min bankroll you should have to play the very smallest of real money games - ($2-3 SNG and micro-limit ring games)

I would say most sites have $5 SNG's - which with 5% max rule you need a $110 bankroll
for 0.10/0.25 cash games with max buy-in of $10 you need a $100 bankroll

so with small winning for freerolls - a few $$s here and there you will end up having to play the odd micro cash game and $1 sng's where sites do them while still playing freerolls - its a tough road to go from zero bankroll

If party hasnt got the micro limits that you need relative to your bankroll I would check out some other sites and play their freerolls - signup and play in all our $50 freerolls for a free shot at some bankroll ;-)

but above all - dont beat yourself up even the pro's have to ride out the downswings - and some have ones that last a year or more
