Default Play The Hand (Game)

Hey Guys,

Starting up a game here where you got to let us know how you would play cards in the scenario given. I'll put up a poll and just vote to see if what you're willing to do goes along with the majority. Here is the first scenario:

You are second to act early in the tournament (10 hands in). The first guy folds and you see 910. You just call the 30 blind, having 1600 in chips. There is 2 calls then the Big Blinds raises to 90. What do you do, please explain?

Default call - but where is the allin choice ?

hi coop

nice one - this is a bit like the chip n chair draw we used to have

(I'll have to find the code and get it back on the homepage as visitors used to be able to enter daily for a monthly draw for a book - maybe I'll make it cash in an account somewhere)

anyway I said call

I play a bit loose sometimes and especially in the first couple of rotations in a tournament as I want to throw people off on my image

the way I see it -

in early postion (weak) with a nice straight potential but weak flush potential

the only thing that swung it for me was the other two calls before the raise - making it a more interesting hand with nice implied odds if my hand hits

if you stereo type the raiser - he's is early early position yet raises "standard" 3x BB suggesting he has a hand but maybe not AA KK or he has and he's doesnt want to scare us off

to me that is a perfect hand to play a drawing hand with

plus after the flop he is going to have to act before you so plenty of potential for you to get away from the hand if you make no progress or for you to fold off the hand if you see any J Q K A or have a pretty informed think

thats the way I'd play it - but that is just me ;-)

cheers scrawnybob

Hi
i think, im making a call here.
if it's an early stage in a tournament (and i don't have them tagged) i might want to see a flop, with a nice straight/flush middle hand. also wait to see what the others are doing, assuming that one of the limpers will fold.
the bet is not big, so you can get away from your hand if the flop doesn't connect you.
i wouldnt reraise, because, again, if you dont know who you're playing against, then any your reraise followed by an all in from one of the nutters, will make you fold and look stupid to the rest. by reraising there, you make a mistake by gambling in an early stage - a mistake for itself.

Hey Guys,
I am definitely making a call here as well. Early in the tournament and chances are the two guys behind might call, it will look good in terms of odds for you and putting your money in. Not too mention, you look loose making this call so when you raise with a huge hand you may be able to catch someone trying to catch you!

Yes, specifically 7 10 of spades. In past experiences, the hand you have that has the best chance of flopping a fullhouse or trips is 7 10 in my opinion. How many times have you actually seen two sevens or two 10's show up on the flop, I have more times then any other card. I made it important to play 7 10 and it has actually payed off more then anything. I seem to get very lucky with the hand by hitting a flush, straight, yes...straight flush twice!, trips a lot, and so on. This is definitely my favorite hand and I will continue playing it. However, I do not call huge raises or get in pots where I definitely do not have a chance to win. I will raise half the time with the hand if I'm first to do so...
watch out...
