Alright I'm sick of it. Am I a horrible god damn player or am I just on a horrible streak of luck? This is fucking pathetic. Every fucking tourny I get rag hands and when I get a good hand I always fucking lose.
Examples
Tourny 1: 95% favourite on the turn, all money goes in, I lose.
Tourny 2: No hands at all, pretty much blinded out and had to take a stand with rags near the end.
Tourny 3: Flopped a set of 6s, money goes in, opponent turns over set of Qs.
Tourny 4: Another 95% on the turn, money went in, I lost.
Tourny 5: Played tight the whole game, think he would realize this after I reraised his preflop raise. Money went in, I had KK, he called with AJ, he hits an ace on the flop.
Tourny 6: About to enter. My predictions are flopping a set of jacks and losing to running cards for a straight.
It is pathetic. I am ranting, but for a good reason. I'm not sure if I blow at this game or if I am simply getting horrible luck. I'm feeling like blowing my whole god damn bankroll in one tourny, truly.

I was a bit off on Tourny 6. My JJ lost against A4 for a good part of my stack, and some other hand where I was 70% favourite I lost a good chunk of my stack. Ended up semi bluffing someone who looked really weak after min betting, after a minute or so he called. I think I played the hand where I bluffed pretty well, but he made a pretty good call (wasn't a very hard call with top pair lol).

if you can, post the crucial hands where you think you have gone wrong or think you have gotten unlucky, doesn't have to be the hand that knocked you out, and myself and hopefully other members will give you their take on it and may even be able to advise on you on something they would have done differently.

hey Shad we´ve all had bad streaks, the best thing to do is go for a walk or watch some porn or whatever, its just that simple man.
How are u going to win the enter for the 750k guarantee by playing 2$ sit and goes ??? I think the best option would be trying to win some more money and just using your fulltilt points, to enter one of those entrys to the sattelites.
ps: i thought we were getting a christmas greeting from scrawny but it didnt happen, so Merry Christmas to u all, and hope u win next year more than u did this one lol.

Yeah I know I have too much emotion, I'm over the bad beats after I just went for a shower. When I showered I realized how 90% of the time I get knocked out of a tournament, I should be winning, which means I will be a long term winner.
I got $50 deposited into my account, and I'm play $2.25 SNGs to build up some money. Right now I'm at $51.05 (yes after all those beats I still managed to keep even). My first goal is probably the $26 token, and my secondary is the 750k. I will not be trying for the 750k for a while, I need to build a bankroll first. I am not sure if I will be entering money sattelites or FTP sattelites, I'll see when the time comes. I might try a 15 FTP 180 player SNG every now and then for an entry into the 2500 FTP 750k sattelite. It's a crap shoot but it's only 15 points.

Man, I feel your pain and I think we all do. The thing that I think is stopping you playing at your A game after these beats is your emotion. The reason I say that is because that used to be my exact problem. I used to get unbelivably mad when I got a bad beat, one time I got beaten by a guy who caught runner runner to make an inside straight and I got so angry I threw my mouse across the room which smashed, stood up and was gonna kick the wall but saw my brand new guitar in the way so switched and went to kick the wardrobe. (the wardrobe won, and i had a massive bruise on my foot for days lol). I started to hate poker, and quit for a little while.
When I started back playing I took it way more seriously, I used to analyse my hand histories and replay the hands over in my head, even sometime simulating hands so that my friends played the role I did in the actual hand. After noticing some big flaws in my game and improving on them I stopped getting so mad whn people sucked out on me when I had the best hand because there isn't anything I could have done differently and I just got unlucky and the majority of the time I will win the money.
The other thing I did was start to play with better bankroll management. Previously I found that I had been playing with large proportions of my bankroll at one time which I think added to me getting so mad when I lost, because it was a massive amount to lose. Now I exercise good BR skills so that the money I have on the table or used in as buy-in is a balance between being enough to garner my full attention so I play well and being an amount that I can afford to lose and not get overly mad about.
A lot of players have problems with their emotions getting in the way of their game, and they all have ways of dealing with it, whether it be taking a walk or watching porn as suggested or breathing techniques or smoking a joint, Paul Wasicka even used to punch holes in his wall. The thing with all of them is that once they have their emotions in check and they can let their heads over rule their emotional state they are more likely to play better.
Just remember if you go in with the best hand and lose, it maybe hard to take but in the long run you will those types of hands. Also take into account the other players hand (i.e. was he massive chipstack with triple the chips of anyone else and called with a straight flush draw, or was he a complete twat who needed runner runner to hit quads twos to beat you flopped Aces full of kings) Also the people that call the longshot odds are the people that you will profit from in the future.
Maybe take a break from poker till the new year, come back refreshed and looking forward to playing again and try to keep things in perspective, while that one hand will hurt the big picture will be beautiful when you win your money back from them plus more.
Chin up bro, and Merry Christmas!
