Thumbs up This Post should be an artical on its own.

The most important parts of the re-buy game are, the relationship of the bubble -1 pay cheque to the cost of the re-buy investment related to time.

To Simplfy:- If the Bubble – 1 cheque is 100Euros+ XRB% and the buyin is 10E+1E the re-buy = 10E you can Re buy Statistically 5 times+ 1 ADDON= 60E’s You have invested 71Euros in this game. The re-buy% money is not important to the Question “Is this Game worth playing” to the average player but VERY significant to an Actuary.

The next important consideration is the relationship of the chip leaders stack at the time of the rebuy and the number of Starting Players, any more than 100 Players is going to be a problem assuming that for every 100 plays 18% of the Strongist Starting hands are not going to win the POT.

IMHO: There is NO point playing a Re-Buy Tournament if the INVESTMENT is not in a INVESTMENT relationship of 1:1000+ for 1st place.

So in the game above 71Euros = 7100Euros+ for 1st Place. 1Euro is rougthly 1$

If you are quick you have already realised that WE have Established our INVESTMENT CRITERIA before we have been delt a CARD.

At the moment I am trying to invent a reliable equation for the TIME per 100 players take to play to a conclusion a re-buy tournament on a computer, with a variance of + or – 30 mins.

This is important for other equations in relationship to THE PLAYINGTIME/PROFIT evaluation factor of the question “IS THIS GAME WORTH PLAYING”? However I digress.

CHIP LEADERS STACK:

Now this is very tricky I am under the general Impresstion with a lot of other players that YOU DO NOT RE-BUY if YOUR stack is 65% lower than CHIP DADDIES stack, pre addon/re-buy finish time.

However I have won a 25K$ tournament with $5198 at level 6 and the Chip Daddy had $42,000+ it took me 7 hours and I did wonder at my sanity after the computer tournament finished. The final hand for a point of interest was J8o v J3s both players allin and I held the J8o thinking what the F**k did he called for with j3s. I was very tired so he/she must have been the same and to be honest I didn’t give a sh*t when I pushed allin the 2nd place money was good enough for me and I wanted sleep.

At this moment I have to say DON’T Re-buy if your stack is less than 66% of the Chip Leader ( chip dady) stack, presuming you are all GOOD players and don’t sit there thinking you are only going to play Skalansky group 1 hands and group 2 in your blinds.

Anyway I am getting bored with this script so you Guys must be as well, shutting up for now, good hunting

Probably the worst thing to play. But sometimes it can be really interesting if you have position on a re-buyer. Then you can x4 or 5 times your stack and wait for the first hour to go.

Default rebuys

I absolutely hate rebuys. People will play all kinds of junk and most of the time beats you good hands. I have gotten burned many times with good hands because they just play anything. I do avoid them.

I like re-buys, especially when people invest alot. Add ons also add on to the stakes. Last paying positions normally cover one rebuy and one add on. If you get lucky early in the game, take it easy the first hour and won't have to rebuy. Ivde won 100$ in a .10$ but in and .50$ rebuy tourney on full tilt. cost me .10 cents!

Well, call me a cynical bastard, but weren't rebuys started by poker sites solely for the intent to make money for the poker site? Don't a lot of pokersites charge you for the rebuy?

How about UB, where i've seen rebuys with late entries that buy into the game for the first time after a half hour has gone by.

This is really just a gimmick to make the rooms more money. Of course it can be scammed, errr, i mean have a coherent strategy laid out like gypsy has, or u can enter and grind out such a tourney and not rebuy or add on. but ultimately it is a fools game in my mind. I'm predicting a new re-buy, add-on and special close to the bubble "bubble buy" followed by the "last chance final table chip load up" type game to be announced any day now.
