I've deleted a few of the posts in this thread - because if I found - as a Goyim / non Jew and non Israeli a comment offensive - I sure as hell think other members would to

indeed I'm suprised it got ignored by members most likely to be offended - that is a credit to them not rising to the bait

but none the less - lines of manners and decency are getting crossed - and it's not on

please keep the banter within friendly bounds

(I appreciate forthright views ... on poker is good and healthy)

but bringing in politics and religion is NOT - this is a poker forum and I keep my own political, religious comments / thoughts to myself - all members should do likewise

we are all poker players - we are not all responsible for our countries actions - we may or may not agree with things beyond our control

but we can have a laugh at each others expense / bad poker etc without making generalisations or bringing in preconceptions, prejudice or more likely in this case (now deleted post) making a joke in poor taste

I dont want to give airtime to anyones political views etc as this will just inevitably lead to petty bickering or upset when its not needed

well, i'd like to know the amount you bet, because if you do - i'm all-in lol.

about the language... i'm currently reading a russian book because its so easy to forget a language than to learn a new one, and thats true - really.
i'm trying to learn here as much correct english as i can (especially from scrawnybob's posts and from other quality posters) because even american posts can be so lame sometimes, and so "there are my two words in english-can i get the password now?" which makes it a little more difficult. take killermanner for example: the guy posts only to win the jackpot. he doesnt care of english, of his posts, or even the fact that we all can see the real reason behind his posts. unlike him, i really try to write longer posts - you know - for myself. whenever i make a mistake, i like the fact people correct me. i'm not talking about youngunkids style because hes young, and it's understandable for me because of that reason. hope that i will be an english posting expert by the time i get to 1000 posts .

Jacks Im not degradiing your English writing style I was merely picking at you.I knew you meant criticism,but I was just trying to give everyone a good heartfelt laugh,Im sorry if it rubbed you the wrong or anything!I sincerely apologize if this is the case.But may I ask do what are you talking about when you say stuff about my style and being young and this and that.please dont hold back anything when you respond to this I wish to get an honest direct and blunt answer from you so I see thigs more clearly from your perspective.I count you as one of my friends Jacks...your posts are usually of better quality than 90% of my fellow english speaking natives,and I always find a good laugh or two out of them as well which I appreciate.Well looking forward to your reply! well, have you noticed the fact that i never won the posting jackpot? its not that i dont like free money, infact i've never seen this kind of animal - but im celebrating half year of posting here, beeing here, and knowing scrawnybob for my own other reasons.

i can say that i have learnt a lot of new english expressions, short words and poker expressions and i'm hungry for more, each day that goes by.

my direction in life is journalism and ill get to it in a year. i am going to learn journalism and do it for living. in the meantime, im spending my time here, trying to pick up as much information as possible, from friendly people like yourself and others.
dont get me wrong, i like the fact you correct me, but its the youth that prevents you from actually correcting me. its the youth that makes you give everyone a good laugh by that not noticing that you crash someone, on the way to your goal. and dont get me wrong - at your age, i would of done exactly the same (if not worse) on everyone and wherever i spotted "weakness" of posts or language. and ohnestly- i really cant blame you for all this.
i would be more happy if you'd correct me with your knowlege and not with making a laugh out of me.

hope that makes sence. lets leave the laughs (if you want to) for the spammers. they come often, dont worry

Jacks, your english is actually pretty darn good for someone who speaks it as a second language or not at all. Im not sure if you have ever taken any courses to learn english, but either way it is still very good.

Living in America I see people everyday who have been here for 10+ years and still cannot form even a sentence. It is quite sad actually. So its actually comforting to see someone who is not even here in the US that is trying to learn english and how to use it properly.

From what I have seen and read from you on here I have no doubt in my mind that you will one day be very proficient in the english language and that you will realize your hopes and dreams.
