Taking notes on other players

I barely started taking notes but I am not even sure if I'm taking good notes. I put what they shoved with and solid, or crazy, and stuff like that but it hasn't really helped out yet. Hopefully in the future at a final table it will. Do you guys have any tips on taking better notes? Or what has worked for you?

Personally I find it very useful to have some notes on the player. In those critical phases of a game, I ALWAYS look at the notes.

But there is one big problem, dont write a note on a player based on one hand only. Many players write a note and thats it.

The note thing is an ongoing process, and back in the good old days when I played a lot of poker on the cashgame, I suddenly had 10-12 lines about a single player....

So my advice is keeping those notes up to date at any time

I take mental notes on everyone at the table, including myself to determine the flow of the game. By taking notes, I gain insight on how opponents play certain hands in certain spots. I'd advise anyone remotely serious about poker to take notes on opponents. This practice will improve decision making and ultimately your bankroll on the felt.

It's very rare you come up against the same players online in my experience so don't see the point, on a single table game I usually will though, extra ammo helps.
