I have been slacking when it comes too taking notes recently I started taking notes on other players at the tables. DO you take notes and do you think it helps at all in your poker game?

Post Player notes

I used to do this, but now i just remember the player that played so bad or good , i look the the avatars also , since i can keep that in my mind , and names not that much , if i really have to take notes , i just write it down on a paper at home , with the name of the player , and what exactly happend with a hand , or 2 .

1: Note on a player is no consern.
2: Notes makes you better .
3: Notes , the guy will be in trouble.
4: Notes , just plain the more notes the more info the better you play against that player .

I like to take notes on players that way I can keep track of the ones that I am beating and the one who are beating me. That was I can play with the ones I can make money from and stay away from the ones that I lose it to.

I don't make them a mile long but I do note how they played and sometimes what they played in certain situations. I also like to note them if they are a trash talking idiot. That way I know I have to mute them right away.

Good luck at the tables.

I think notes are overlooked by too many people. I take notes on players all the time. simple notes though nothing complex just stuff like which players have no concept of pot odds and which ones seem to do. stuff like that. Also I try my best not to make any assumptions either. Just because you someone make one play does not mean they always play that way. If you take good notes it will be helpful and if you take bad notes or assumptions it may hurt you as well.

It probably helps a lot if you usually meet the player you took notes from but it should be good notes, notes that are relevant or you will do mistakes.

Taking notes can be a great advantage, but mostly if you know the opposition. I stopped taking notes simply because the chance of coming across the same players are remote on the larger Poker Sites.
