First of all, I am not one of those who drink and play poker. Its stupid, and most of the readers here would agree with me.
BUT, I am one of these tight A**holes and a pint or two does make me a bit more pushy, if you get my point. Been playing for a couple of years now, and when ever I got a beer or two, I play a little bit more offensive, not always the right choices, but I call with A5 all in in the big blind, and I make a win out of it..... maybe its a read because the pusher has KQ or something.
Of course we are not talking about dead drunk, but are there anyone around here that enjoy a tiny beer when you are playing? And does anyone have the self control to stop when you actually had enough?
At present I have had a few, and at this point I have stopped playing because enough is enough, but have had a relatively good day (not monster) but enough to make me proud....
And since it is Saturday I wish you all a good night...
Oki one more thing, sorry webmaster, new site 30 dollars free, it is on the Ipoker network, wont tell about the site, PM me if you are interseted, delete only the last if this is above the "forum rules", I like this site too much to blow it away on commercial
Some people can do it, some people can't. Personally I only play in freerolls if I'm drinking.

I do not drink alcohol!
Me neither, it tastes horrible on it's own. Beer or red wine taste much better...

Stay away from the table if you are drunk or have had a few drinks. Your focus will not be there fully, putting you in a position to lose big and have you wondering wtf if you are not careful. I have never done this, but have watched way too many people lose big this way.
playing with a sligh buzz for an extremely tight aggressive player can actually help as you see a few more hands, as long as you dont start talking too much, or chatting online, and promise to leave the table if you start getting too chatty or pushy. Also limit it to tourneys or small buyins so you dont lose anything big.
Someone already posted exactly how I feel. Personally I love beer. There's a local bar that holds 2 $50 freerolls 3x a week. I've won a couple and have been totally blasted. I've stayed sober and have been eliminated on the first 3 hands. Some people can do it, some cannot. But as a rule of thumb, if you a going to play and put up your own money, stay away from the alcohol. Hope this helps...
