Bad Beat!!

I remember this from like 2 weeks ago. I had 2$ at pokerstars and I made it 15$ at the same table. I thought, ok 1 more hand and im gone. I get dealt AA!!!! I raise abit and someone reraises me, so I go all in. He calls with A8. Flop comes: 389. Nothing worse yet. Turn comes; 8. River: 4. How is this possible? It cant be true. Was a 25$ pot.

Why do so many people assume that AA is unbeatable?

It happens all the time. There are a large number of hands being played at the same time on that site, so it makes it seem there are a large number of bad beats too.

Aces can get cracked 20% of the time in a heads up match. Still good odds. I would take them every hand if I could. No hand is unbeatable pre-flop in poker. Keep that in mind the next time.

As for raising with AA again, you should always raise the same amount every time so it is easier to disguise your hand.

This is a perfect example why my favorite pocket is Ax suited, with AA you only you only have 2 outs before the flop A8 has 11 outs before the flop, for the flush.

Its going to happen about once in 5 times. Don't worry if you keep playing like that you will win.

You prefer outs rather than a made hand?

One pair isn't really a made hand, two pair will generally win a pot but one pair quite often won't.

I look at it this way. there is no such thing as a made hand pre-flop. maybe a good starting hand. Do the math 11 outs or 2 outs I would take 11 over 2 outs any day of the week.

You had 89 % win pre flop , on the flop 80 % , on the turn 5 % .... which is terrible bad luck for you , the aces should have won there... to obvious that stars f**** you for the 15 $ you made , the site knows your going to come back , since which player wouldnt if you turn 2 into 15 at one table they would be very sure to come back , and that a big stack , put's in 12.50 with a8 suited preflop , then you know donks rule the online world ? How many times have a been correct about that >? since you see it now again .


AA VS A8 i would take AA any day .
