I'm not desperate for the 2 bucks so I don't play in the ones on that forum.I play in the league ones here and some other forums as you are getting a lot more from a game.
But if it's going to be spoilt by members who just reg and hope to cash and don't worry about how many points they get then I will stop playing them.
My Dear Lady I honestly do not see why YOU should stop playing them because of a few ****/****/****/****'s

and also I think you should type what you want as well,

If you enjoy playing them please play them this problem is about to be sorted out

Feel a hug

Hi kingjames07,

You are totally right about my profile picture. It is disrespectfull to this forum, but that was not my intention. I just took a picture and didn't think about so let's promote *** . But I changed it and I think this one is even better. (not?, let me know what you think about my picture, just pm me)

Default promoting other sites etc

hi all

well I have to be honest that I dont like other sites encouraging their members to put it about other forums ... purely because I dont encourage our members to go out and publicise our site on theirs

its fine if it happens naturally but I know alot of sites run referal or bonus or incentives to promote their site and even worse their bonuses etc

thanks to oblivious for changing his avatar - in fairness it wasnt really bugging me (although the site mentioned did seem to go on something of an evangelical members join other sites and mention us thing - but by the by

anyway I think you new avatar looks great - and much more original ;-)

I know alot of members are members at other sites ... and there is nothing wrong with that ... as long as members follow the rules at all their different sites then its a free world to enjoy many or one forum (we just want everyone to enjoy ours the most)

it's down to me and the forum to make 4kingpoker forum and the main part of the site great so people want to be here over other sites ... and to do that honestly rather than me encourage members to promote us elsewhere for an incentive

cheers scrawnybob

ps. your quote in your sig is great - I'm a big fan of Marcel Luske - great player, great example of effective (yet polite) table talk

for those of you who dont know the quote ... Marcel Luske Give a Little Bit video

Arrow 4kingpoker, Poker, Independence, The Internet

4kingpoker.com, Poker, Independence, The Internet.

Hi All,

I am a poker player, and a gambler by choice, I have been a member of most of the internet forums on poker.

I enjoy wiling away the down time from poker by reading about poker or writing about poker, God knows why but I do.

I found 4kingspoker a fair while ago and never added anything to it, until last year, when I suddenly started to appreciate what I thought Bob was trying to achieve, with this site.

I admire the amount of work he puts into it, I wouldn’t do it, I like the fact Bob tries to make an unbiased view out of many comments good, bad, and very ugly on the forum, and about poker, a game we all Love.

I have now got to a stage that I don’t bother going to the other forums, I cannot be bothered with the petty bickering, The snide comments about people most of the bloggers don’t even know, and defiantly don’t understand, however I do enjoy some of the more “zany” comments about poker, how to play a hand, and what are the usual out comes, I enjoy them because I play a lot of poker, I see some very strange things, I also win a good proportion of the time, so I know what works and what doesn’t work.

I even try some of the more zany ideas if I haven’t thought of them, just as a mathematical experiment, reason being I am trying to be the best poker player in the world, and I feel I don’t have to prove it to anyone but myself.

So what’s the point of this script I can hear someone say, well it’s this, I think 4kingspoker is simple the BEST poker site and forum on the internet, now to make this site better WE the members have to help Bob out a little and make any visit a worthwhile, enjoyable, and EDUCATIONAL experience, to help all of us be better players.

There are always going to be people misguided, who for one reason or another, can’t legally play poker and fund there poker, this is a safe guard society, has set to stop all of our children into "Thinking the Wrong way", and it’s not morally right that some people pass in a chat channel of another web site, the passwords to a forums members private game.

I also feel it’s not a positive way to start on the road to playing poker, without some sort of integrity, your poker life is not going to be an enjoyable experience. Life has its own way to sort the cheats, the thieves, and the bad people out.

Some sites are so short of good poker content, they have to use unsavoury practices, to attract new members into them so they can sell them something, Would you buy something from them, Would YOU trust a password swapping site for ANYTHING?

No BODY gives YOU something for nothing! Think about it...there are always going to be people who disagree with this statement, but as someone who has physically fought for the core ideals of the west, some of you are going to be bring up your tribe in the way of the thief?

It will turn around on you, and please do not say you have not been warned, when one day one of your kith and kin after spending most of the life wasted, rotting in a jail house waiting for the needle of death.

You can only say, IT WAS MY FAULT!...how’s it going to make you feel....I wonder.

Now is the time to reflect on your LIFE.

Regards

The Gypsy

Default The Free Roll Whore Problem

For the sake of making light of a very serious problem-
When does one pass the line from simply being a promiscuous free roller into full whoredom?
In any event I can add free roll whore to the what I want to be when I grow up list.
Thanks for that.

i think you're a lil confused with the "freeroll whore problem" we are talkin about password sharing i.e "whoring the password""being in a tourny that u didn't earn the right to be in"

now as you say "freeroll whore"...are you meaning playing more and more freerolls ??...like the more freerolls u play the bigger whore you are???... that's not what we are talking about if you play tons and tons and spend ur whole day playin freerolls there is nothing wrong with that....if they are private just earn the password

My view is this:- Material published on the internet is protected by copyright!
You should mark it with the international© mark “ If you use this mark you should also set some parameters of how the information may be used by a third party, with out permission.

In the case of a password you could just print this:-

All Passwords from this site are” ©4kingpoker.com all rights reserved: no reproduction is allowed with out permission.

Hence ScrawnyBob would give His permission ( if he owned the site which I am under the impression he does) So if ScrawnyBob sends you an email, he has given his permission “primae fascae” to use the password to enter what ever it is you are entering.

Usually in copyright case’s on the web, the “owner” of the web site try to stay anonymous, hiding behind the web hosting, however “WE” have had a lot of success naming the “web hosting” as
CO- CORRISPONDANT in the action! Hence the web hosting usually roll over and give the name of the person paying for the web hosting account. No web hosting company wants to get tangled into a copyright action over the content of some one else’s web site, Its usually some thing to do with down loading music, but I don’t see why in this case the same case law doesn’t apply.

The million dollar question,:- How much? Not that much, I hate to say this but you could start proceedings via the law society’s web site or the UK government web site via the county court, under £100 and take it from there. Usually a little non confrontational note to the web master in the vain of “Please do not do” works well, with uk web sites, If its based in the USA I recommend, a International Copyright Professional, you would have to find one as I am not allowed to recommend anyone on the web.

Ireally have no idea what you are talking about the lawyer sounds like alot of mumbo jumbo to me or someone trying to hard ...anyhoo ...I think you can put all the measures possible in place to try to stop the password shareing but when it comes right down to it ...its really upto the person if they have no respect for the site you cant teach that .... but you can ban them...
