Default Dreams Response

Well heres the response from dream.

"I had a chat with our technical staff and they’ve said that this has
happened to players before, purely because of a bad connection speed or
unstable connection on the player’s side.

Because of a bad connection speed, one of three things will happen from
time-to-time:

1.) Your whole cards will be dealt face down, on occasion
2.) You will see a duplicate card on the flop, turn and river, on
occasion
3.) The buttons to call, fold, raise or check won’t show up in
time.

Default A personal Prima Boycott.

After my last email from Dream in which they called me a liar and mis-spelled my name (how hard is it to use a spell check? I mean come on).
I am now proceeding with a personal boycott of all Prima Poker websites.

Yes I know its a little extreme but
1) Dream has shown me no proof that their software is safe, secure and only uses ONE deck of cards....three hands in a row with the turn the same as the river.....hmmm....somethings up....
2) The software is run by Prima Poker and used by all its sites, not just Dream. Therefore is isnt to hard to belive that this problem would also occur on crazy poker or royal vegas.
3) They have failed to satisfy me as a customer. After having my name mis-spelt and after being called a liar, I have no respect for Prima Poker as a company and will refuse to do buisness with them again.

Now I know im being stubborn and a little dumb. But I dont give a crap. I have lost all faith that Prima Poker is a legitimate company with legitimate software.
And since they don't seem to give two !@#$ there are plenty of other poker sites on the net.

Hi Tish_Man.

I play on Prima sites and have never found a problem with them at all!?
After reading your hand history i notice the following problems with your statement.

FIRST: You didn't bet on the turn???
Second: It is impossible that you are the only one in the world that has this problem because at least a nother 10+ or even more people whould complain about it? And u the first person i have seen posting about have the same card on the turn( where is the betting????!!!) and the river.

Dude go review the hand again maybe u have made a mistake!?
your boycott will not be support if u dont have 100% proof that this true?

So dude stop trying to think that prima sites will give u cash to shut up!? U can get your self in more shit!?

go review the hand you have made a lot of mistake or u have just edit it by yourself????

Default dream poker

hi all

I have been watching this thread for sometime - please dont call for people to "feel free to join your personal boycott etc" on my site this is not the place to try to get people to join on crusades

I am ultimately the one held responsible for the contents of the site - so people feeling free to do stuff here ultimately endangers me runnig the site - which cost me alot to set up - a $10,000 investment is not something I want to see go up in smoke as a result of someone feeling agrieved

I have read through your account and theirs - yes I agree there seems to be some inconsistency between them - but as has been pointed out - you seem to be the only one this has happened to

I have seen the situation you descibe happen at other sites - nothing to do with dream or the same network when you get a drop out

all the cards come across and you can think there is duplication etc

Looking at the hand histories - are they direct transcripts ?? as one hand does appear to have gone to the river etc and a bit odd - but again with drop outs the transcripts can be inaccurate too

The prima network is a very established network and if this was a regular security / card generator / fraud issue it would have been heavily reported along time ago and no-one would be playing there

This isnt the place for members to call for a boycott of anything - if you set up your own site you can risk the DOS risk of legal damages etc and call for a boycott on your own site

It's one thing to post and say you have an issue with xyz, felt you got treated badly etc or the site is bad etc
that is ok providing its reasoned and not just a rant and expressing a personal opinion - even then there is a responsibility of the host site not to have defamatory or liable on the site

Id hoped this thread would have died out but I will have to do a bit of editing - and if dream contact t me then obviously the whole lot will have to come out

I would suggest everyone consider any responses to this thread / post very carefully before posting anything further

Firedrop

Your right, I did not bet on the turn, because I was not able to. And aparently I'm not the "only one in the world that has this problem" because after making posts on differnent sites I have had approximatly 10 people respond who have said they have had a similar problem that I had, with cards coming out simlutaneously, which they believed to be caused by lag.
And I'm not making all these posts thinking I'm gonna make money, in fact I won the hand I was invovled with. And I'm not makeing these posts thinking there is going to be some sort of poker army to back me up.
I started posting because I felt that online poker players should know of any problems occuring with any poker site.
And thanks for giving me the benefit of the doubt Firedrop. Your a real class act.
But one question for you, what shit are you talking about? when you wrote "U can get you self in more shit!?"

Scranybob

You are also right and I shouldnt be trying to convince people to follow me. Even though I only posted that I was persuing a personal boycott and was not asking for followers.
The transcripts in my possesion I posted and it shows what I saw.
but I was also carefull and didnt slander anyone. Though I expressed my opinion on the issue, I did not lie, exaggerate or slander.

I am not lookin for support in my boycott, I am looking to spread the word that you should always be careful and even established sites are not bug-free.
Sorry Scranybob if my posts caused you problems.

Default poker site issues

hi

I think the other poster was suggesting is you could get yourself into problems commenting in a negative way about a given site - legally

in reality - Its me as the site owner who would end up with the problems legally

from what you've said other people have had the "same" problem as you - these other people have called it lag - dream poker have called it lag

ok maybe their customer service hasn't been as good as you'd have liked but they have answered your issue with what seems to be the correct information - and a not uncommon problem

the whole point is that what they all seem to be saying and what you seem to be missing is this -

in reality the random card generator DID NOT generate two identical cards on those three hands - it just looked like it did

and that is a very different thing to questioning on my forum (which you did) the whole legitamacy of poker sites card generators and that sites one in particular

At least one forum member with less experience replied thinking that he had now signed up to a bogus or iffy site - which isnt the case - I dont promote that site but that isnt the point either.

If you ask players - "have you ever had two cards the same APPEAR on the board due to lag / connection problems" I would personally guarantee you will have close to 100% agreement from all players who log up a decent amount of hours at ANY poker site online

Only this morning I was playing on another site on different network and the whole of an SnG ended up with problems / lag / timeouts etc which resulted in cards hanging on from previous hand and mixing with the new hand

this is the same problem but slightly different software so different quirks

You CANNOT call for a boycott / say you think there iffy, crooked etc (which you did) on a forum when they have clearly explained the problem

The point is those cards never ACTUALLY landed on the board - so they're not a bad / crooked or site to stay away from - they are just like any other popular site not 110% perfect

big difference

cheers for the apology and I hope you appreciate that I'm here to help but sometimes what they're IT and other players tell you isnt what you want to hear

cheers scrawnybob
