Default Quads vs. Quads

Blinds are 50-100. Everyone folds to me on the button. I look down at JJ. I raise and make it 400 to go. The blinds call, both relatively loose players from what I've seen. Flop comes KKJ. WOW. I'm jumping for joy in front of my screen. Check from 1st guy, 500 from the other guy. I smooth call, the other guy folds. Turn is the last J!!! WOW. Everything is pretty blurry from here. We end up going to the river, which is a 5. I end up all-in. He calls. I know that you guys can probably guess what he had. He had KK. wow. I couldn't believe my eyes.....

Not a bad beat here. You were a 4 to 1 dog preflop and dead on the flop. This is an instance where a cold deck hit and hit you hard.

Wish I had that hand at our local casino - would have won $10,000 from our bad beat pool, even though it wasn't really a bad beat. If this ever happened, I would never complain about bad beats again.

Angry Awfull

That's not chearing me on to go to the casino today , lol .

That was technically not a bad beat, since he was infront all the time, but it was a big beat , and disgusting bad luck , for he only called your raise ?> not repoped in any way ?

Then smooth calls on the flop , and destroys you on the river , is like ... getting a bullet threw your ... he played the hand to perfection , you would have probally put him on ak or a kq , or even k5 , just a boat, quads is the not what you can put him on , believe me allot of players would have gone broke on that hand ...

Debating whenever to fold quads or not , by JCTM1988.

A bad beat in this case KK vs JJ (hypothetical situation) after the flop (39Q) KK is still top pair. They both go all in. The turn is a 7. The river is the J. Trip jacks that is a bad beat. Lesser pair beat top pair.
